As a former athlete and softball player, I have seen and been through many ups and downs when it came to performance. When I was younger I didn’t have the best help with strength and agility training. I was a small kid with great potential but needed to get stronger. After a while I decided to educate myself to become the best athlete I could be. After I finished my collegiate years, I continued to educate myself for the young athletes and softball players today. I strive to do the best for my athletes, pushing them towards their goals while knowing their limits on a day to day basis. I believe being physically strong and healthy is important, but being mentally strong and healthy is even more crucial. I strive to help young athletes both mentally and physically! I am a certified strength and conditioning coach, corrective exercise specialist, personal trainer, softball instructor and more. Keeping my athletes healthy is a top priority. I believe that all sports are meant to be fun. I believe that training for that sport can be fun as well! As a former athlete I have been through toxic situations with coaches and because of that, I was educated on what not to do. I believe competing and having fun can be equal. Though I am here to train and push athletes to reach their full potential, I will always be sure they are having fun while doing it. Whether it is an hour of agility, an hour of strength training or an hour of talking about the mentality side, I will help them become stronger. I will be sure your kid doesn’t dread coming to train, but rather gets excited and looks forward to coming every time!

Being healthy and in shape are both important factors when playing a sport. I work with the fast twitch muscle movements, as well as endurance training. I train specific movements targeting power and explosiveness for the sport. It is one thing to be fast and one thing to be quick, I train both, while also getting stronger with specific movements that correlate throughout the sport.
First session (Consultation)-
During your first session, I will be assessing mobility movements, certain areas in strength, sprint times, and quick movements. This allows me to take notes and get a starting point of what we need to improve first in order to build progress. After this session, I will give the athlete/athletes guardian feedback on what I saw and what we should focus on and how things will progress from there.
What a typical session looks like-
I typically do two training sessions a week per athlete. One of these days will be strength training, with a progression every week to meet new goals. The second session will be agility movements, using the fast twitch muscles and explosive movements that correlate with the sports movements.
Strength training is important, we are training like an athlete and not a body builder. Personal records will include your tempo, reps, endurance. and explosiveness while lifting. You will also be lifting more weight as you progress, however, as an athlete our focus is not always on how heavy we can lift, but how we can lift and control heavy weight.
Softball instructor at DBAT KC. Former softball coach for Rebels Softball. Strength and Conditioning Coach.
The best coach I’ve ever had was the coach I had growing up through high school. His name was David, Coach David not only pushed his athletes to be the best they can as a team and as an individual. He wasn’t only a coach, he took his athletes under his wing and really tried to give them what they needed. He understood that not all athletes could be coached the same, everyone is different. He was hard on us but he cared for us even more. He taught many things about the sport that also related to life.
I am 22, I live in Louisburg, KS. However, I am able to travel towards the Missouri side as well as all of Overland Park. I give hitting, fielding, and beginner pitching lessons as well.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
