Learn to Hit and Field with a Current College Baseball Coach, Former Collegiate Starting Center Fielder, and Aspiring Professional Player. I currently coach at Palm Beach State College and work with outfielders and hitters. I played one year at Franklin & Marshall College, and 3 years at Oberlin College, and was the Starting Center Fielder my last 2 years, and Leadoff Hitter in my last season, as well as a Team Captain. I was also voted Defensive Player of the Year at Oberlin College in my Senior Season. I also played high school baseball at American Heritage Delray. If you are a beginner looking to learn the basics or an advanced player looking to refine skills, my knowledge of hitting and outfield play can definitely help you reach your potential.

I currently coach at Palm Beach State College and work with outfielders and hitters. I played one year at Franklin & Marshall College, and 3 years at Oberlin College. I was the Starting Center Fielder my last 2 seasons, and Leadoff Hitter in my Senior season, as well as a Team Captain. I was also voted Defensive Player of the Year at Oberlin College in my Senior Season. I played in the South Florida Collegiate League, the Dairyland College League in Wisconsin, and the New York Collegiate Baseball League in Upstate New York. I am aspiring to play professional baseball and have been training at Cressey Sports Performance in Palm Beach Gardens since graduation at the end of May. Learning from professional coaches and professional players has expanded my knowledge of the swing and the game.
My experience working with hitters and outfielders at the college level and seeing major improvements with my players, as well as my extensive knowledge of hitting that I have gained during my college career and aspiring pro career, has enabled me to develop a good eye and understanding of the baseball swing. I have been able to help players become more consistent at the plate in-game, and have been able to help players with lunging issues, using the ground correctly, as well as posture issues. I have helped players learn how to backspin the baseball properly, which has helped unlock power to all fields.
On the hitting side, I like to start with swings off the tee to see how a player's body moves and what kind of ball flight they get. Based on what I see, I will implement a few drills that will help to correct swing flaws in a player. We will use these drills in flips, darts, and then eventually we will go to batting practice, where we will try to get these drills to translate to the normal swing. I also like to get an understanding of the player's mental approach at the plate, and learning how to anticipate what a pitcher is throwing, and also learning how a player should use their strengths and weaknesses.
On the fielding side, I will implement a throwing program if the player wants, as I believe arm accuracy and arm strength are really important and undervalued aspects of defense. If the player does not want to throw, that is perfectly fine. Regardless, I can hit fungos and work on routes and throwing to bases (if the player wants).
I played 1 year at Franklin & Marshall College as a two-way player as an OF/RHP. I transferred to Oberlin College in the second semester of my Sophomore Year and became an Outfielder only. I became the starter in Center Field in my Junior Year and held that position for two years until graduation. I became our Leadoff Hitter in my senior season as well as Team Captain and was voted Defensive Player of the Year by the team. In my senior season I had a 20-game on-base streak to start the season, led our team in runs scored, and was tied for 2nd in the conference in triples.
Coach Jason Reitenbach
I want to help you as a player or your son to become the best player they can be. I have helped a lot of former teammates with their swings, as well as helped my current college players not only have success in practice, but in the game where it matters most. I will use video to help analyze swings and defensive actions and will work on the mental side of the game as well as the physical side of the game. I believe that it is important to work hard and be consistent to become the best high school/college/professional player that one can be because baseball is a game with a lot of highs and lows, and the ability to be consistent regardless of the result is how progress is made.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
