About Me:

I'm a strength and conditioning coach, sport scientist, educator, and lifelong student of human performance. Throughout my career, I've worked with athletes across a variety of sports as well as military personnel, helping them improve strength, speed, power, conditioning, and overall athletic development. I currently serve as a Human Performance Coach supporting soldiers through the U.S. Army's Holistic Health and Fitness initiative and teach kinesiology at the university level. My passion is helping athletes build confidence through training while developing habits that support long-term success both on and off the field.

How I can help you improve your game:

Every athlete is different, which is why I don't believe in one-size-fits-all programs. I help athletes improve strength, speed, agility, power, conditioning, mobility, and recovery through individualized training plans based on their sport, age, experience level, and goals. Whether you're preparing for a season, returning from time off, or trying to earn a starting role, we'll focus on the qualities that matter most for your success and track progress along the way.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

Each session begins with a brief check-in and dynamic warm-up designed to prepare you for training. From there, we'll focus on key performance areas such as speed development, strength training, power exercises, movement mechanics, conditioning, or mobility depending on your goals. Throughout the session, I'll provide coaching feedback, technique instruction, and education so you understand not only what you're doing, but why you're doing it. Every workout is designed with purpose and progression in mind.

Career summary and accomplishments:

I currently serve as a Human Performance Coach supporting military readiness and performance while also teaching kinesiology courses at the university level. Previously, I directed strength and conditioning programs for 24 varsity sports at Shelbyville High School and coached athletes in high school, youth, hockey, and tactical populations. I hold a Master's degree in Applied Sport Science Analytics and certifications including CSCS, RSCC, CPSS, USAW Level 1, and Precision Nutrition Level 1. My work has been published in sport performance journals and coaching publications, and I regularly pursue continuing education in performance training, sport science, and athlete development.

The best coaches I've had weren't necessarily the ones who knew the most—they were the ones who cared the most. They challenged me, held me accountable, and helped me believe I was capable of more than I thought possible. That experience continues to shape how I coach today. I strive to create an environment where athletes feel supported, challenged, and motivated to reach their potential.

Parents can expect a professional, positive, and development-focused training experience, while athletes can expect challenging sessions that are tailored to their individual needs. I emphasize proper technique, long-term development, and measurable progress so athletes can build confidence and perform at their best.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
