- I played Baseball, Basketball, and Golf at Notre Dame High School in Lawrence, NJ. I was a part of 4 Mercer County Championship teams and multiple State Runner-Ups.
- I was then fortunate enough to go on and play both Basketball and Baseball at The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ. The success continued there where we won 2 NJAC Baseball Championships and made 3 Regional Appearances along with a NJAC Basketball Championship and an NCAA Tournament Appearance. One of the premier Division III athletic conferences in the country, New Jersey Athletic Conference.
I look to develop the basic fundamentals of the game to start, and then build from there based on players individual growth. I have learned that even at the highest levels of the game that basic fundamentals and details of the game help teams win. The added skill is important once the easiest things are mastered. I was an elite 3-Point shooter so I also have a lot of ability to help players improve their jump shot.
I begin a session with a warm-up that includes form shooting and ball handling. I believe that finishing around the basket is essential, and I have developed a series of moves around the basket that can be mastered. The remainder of the session is tilted towards whatever the player needs to work on and can be adjusted as needed. I do like to always finishing with competition shooting and Free Throws.
I have coached at all levels of the game. I started coaching kids clinics ages 6-15 at a Summer camp at Notre Dame High School. I then became the Boy's Varsity Assistant Coach for the ND team where I was fortunate to handle a lot of the pre-game and in game responsibilities. I then moved on to work for Princeton Men's Basketball as a volunteer assistant where I learned so much about the behind the scenes of Division I basketball. I worked with recruiting and video preparation. I currently work at Saint Joseph's as a Graduate Assistant where I am getting a top notch, hands-on experience of what it takes to be a coach at the highest level.
The best coach I have ever had is my college coach, Matthew Goldsmith. He was a Division III baseball and basketball player himself at Amherst College, where he won 2 National Championships under the famous Dave Hixon. His experience and winning pedigree stood out from day one, and his ability to connect and build a relationship with the players is something I want to carry on in my career. He is one of the brightest minds I have come across in the basketball world, and having him as one of my mentors has been amazing for my personal growth.
I am an exceptionally hard worker and student of the game. I always prided myself on being the most prepared player before a game, and my mental IQ always gave me a step above the opponents. I believe that mental strength can overcome any physical shortcomings, and with that mindset anything is possible for an athlete. I will work to develop all on-court skills while also instilling the confidence in my players to succeed.
