Former D2 Attack, CO All-League & All-State, former Denver Outlaws youth HC.

Set my high school's single-season points record playing left-side attack (primarily with my off-hand), chose a D2 scholarship to NDNU after HS, and went on to coach U-13 Select for Boulder Valley Lacrosse and the Denver Outlaws' inaugural youth program. I was lucky enough to be coached by Hall of Famer Jay Jalbert, Team Canada & DU HC Matt Brown, and Canisius HC & Team Canada AHC Mark Miyashita, while playing on Accelerate Lacrosse. I coach Attack, Mid, and D-Mid with a focus on building complete players through fundamentals, off-hand development, and lacrosse IQ. Spent the last decade working in Tech at companies like NerdWallet and DuckDuckGo. Now based in The Woodlands, TX.

About Me:

I grew up playing lacrosse in Colorado during the sport's massive westward expansion. I played attack through high school, earned a D2 scholarship to Notre Dame de Namur, and played attack and d-mid in college.

I've spent the last decade working in tech, leading partnerships at companies like NerdWallet and DuckDuckGo, but lacrosse has never stopped being a central part of my life.

I still compete nationally in men's tournaments like the Vail Shootout and Lake Tahoe, and I have two toddlers at home who already have sticks in their hands.

How I can help you improve your game:

I focus on the things that separate good players from great ones: off-hand proficiency, reading the field in real time, and understanding why you're doing what you're doing, not just how.

Whether you play attack or midfield, I'll build your stick skills on both sides, sharpen your lacrosse IQ, and give you the reps and framework to make better decisions faster. I also bring a shooter's mentality to every session, breaking down angles, timing, and finishing mechanics.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

Sessions start with stick work on both hands, every time. That said, we're going to move quickly if you're prepared and have spent the time at home to lock your stick in.

From there we move into position-specific work tailored to what you need: shooting mechanics, dodging, feeding, off-ball movement, defensive positioning, or ground balls. Everything is tailored to what needs work.

I explain the why behind every drill so you understand the game at a deeper level. Sessions are high-rep, focused, and built around 2-3 areas we're developing together over time.

I give direct, specific feedback in the moment so you leave knowing exactly what to work on before we meet again.

Career summary and accomplishments:

Set the single-season points record at Cherokee Trail High School (51 pts: 25G/26A) while playing primarily with my off-hand as a natural righty. All-League selection (2007 & 2008). Colorado All-State game selection (2008).

Earned a Division II athletic scholarship to Notre Dame de Namur University. U-13 Select Head Coach for Boulder Valley Lacrosse (2013-2015). I was the U-13 Select Head Coach for the Denver Outlaws' inaugural youth program in 2015, back during the MLL years.

I'm US Lacrosse certified. Trained under Hall of Famer Jay Jalbert, DU/Team Canada HC Matt Brown, and Canisius HC/Team Canada Assistant HC Mark Miyashita. Mark was my personal 1:1 lacrosse coach for roughly 4 years.

Best coach I ever had:

Mark Miyashita, hands down. He was my personal coach for nearly four years growing up, starting when I was on Accelerate Lacrosse around age 12. He went on to become Head Coach at Canisius and an Assistant Coach for Team Canada.

What made Mark different was his ability to explain the game at a level that changed how I saw the field. He didn't just tell you what to do, he taught you how to think. He also saw nuances in my game that no other coach could, developed those strengths, fixed the imperfections, and taught me all the cool stuff when I was ready. That's the standard I hold myself to as a coach.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

I'm direct and specific. I won't give vague praise or sugarcoat things, but I understand the level you're at and will help you get beyond it.

Players will know exactly what they're doing well and exactly what they need to improve, with a clear plan to get there.

I communicate openly with parents about development timelines and realistic expectations.

I'm not here to run a highlight factory, though I promote unconventional skills wherever I see their potential. There's a place in this game for flair and originality, as long as it's trained and effective.

I'm here to build complete lacrosse players who understand the game, who play the game with their mind and their body, who can play with both hands, and who compete on both ends of the field. If that's what you're looking for, we'll work well together.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
