Elite experience. Proven development. Helping athletes become better players.

I don’t just train basketball players—I develop complete athletes. With 13 years of professional playing experience, 10+ years developing youth, 200+ college placements, and Jr. NBA Coach of the Year recognition, I help athletes build elite skills, basketball IQ, confidence, and the mindset to compete at their highest level.

About me

About Me

I believe great basketball players are not simply trained—they are developed.

For more than two decades, basketball has been my life. I spent 13 years playing professionally in 11 different countries, learning what it takes to compete, adapt, lead, and perform at a high level. But my greatest passion has always been taking what I learned through my playing career and using it to help the next athlete become better than I was.

For more than 10 years, I led Belief Basketball SharpShooters, where I worked with hundreds of young athletes and helped more than 200 student-athletes earn opportunities to play college basketball. That journey eventually grew into ProVision Basketball Academy, where I provide individual, small-group, and team training designed around the athlete—not a one-size-fits-all system.

I also served for two years as a Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach, developing athletes in a competitive environment where skill, discipline, confidence, leadership, and mental toughness matter.

Today, I also serve as the Lead Pastor of Kingdom Legacy Center in Dallas, where I spend my life helping people discover purpose, build confidence, overcome internal barriers, and become who they were created to be. That same approach is at the heart of how I coach athletes.

Some athletes and families have described me as a mental performance coach because I don’t only train what happens with the basketball in your hands—I train what happens between your ears.

My approach is simple: I don’t just teach athletes what to do. I teach them why it works—and I help them believe they can actually do it.

I want every athlete who trains with me to leave with more than improved skills. I want them to have greater confidence, a higher basketball IQ, better decision-making, stronger discipline, greater emotional resilience, and a mindset that allows them to perform when pressure is at its highest.

My job isn’t simply to make you a better basketball player. My job is to help you discover how good you can actually become—and give you the tools to believe it.

How Can I Help You Improve Your Game?

Your game doesn’t stop at your physical ability. It starts with what you believe about yourself.

I help athletes develop both sides of the game: the player you see on the court and the person operating that player from the inside.

My training combines basketball skill development with mental performance, confidence-building, decision-making, and competitive mindset.

I help athletes:

* Develop elite-level ball-handling, shooting, finishing, footwork, and movement

* Improve basketball IQ and learn why the game works the way it does

* Make better decisions under pressure

* Learn how to play with confidence instead of hesitation

* Develop mental toughness and emotional resilience

* Overcome fear of failure and the tendency to overthink

* Learn how to respond to mistakes instead of allowing mistakes to control them

* Build confidence that carries from practice into competition

* Become comfortable being uncomfortable

* Develop discipline, focus, and consistency

* Prepare mentally and physically for higher levels of competition

* Discover strengths they may not realize they possess

Some coaches train the body.

Some train the skill.

I train the skill, the mind, and the belief behind it.

Because I’ve learned through my own playing and coaching career that talent alone isn’t enough. You can have the ability and still hesitate. You can know the move and still lack confidence. You can be physically prepared and still mentally disappear when the pressure arrives.

That’s why our training doesn’t just ask, “Can you do it?”

We ask:

Can you do it under pressure?

Can you trust yourself?

Can you recover when you fail?

Can you stay confident when things aren’t going your way?

Can you believe in yourself enough to perform at the level you’ve trained to reach?

That’s where real development happens.

I don’t just want to improve your game. I want to change the way you approach your game.

What Does a Typical Training Session Look Like?

When you train with me, you’re not walking into a workout where we’re simply going through a list of drills.

Every session has a purpose.

A typical session combines physical skill development with mental performance and game application.

1. Prepare the Body

We begin with movement, coordination, footwork, ball control, and basketball-specific preparation so the athlete is physically ready to perform.

2. Develop the Skill

We attack the specific areas the athlete needs to improve—shooting, ball-handling, finishing, footwork, passing, defense, creating separation, or position-specific skills.

3. Train the Mind

This is where my approach becomes different.

We work on confidence, focus, composure, mental toughness, overcoming mistakes, controlling emotions, handling pressure, and developing the belief necessary to perform.

I want athletes to learn how to control their response—not just their reaction.

4. Put It Into the Game

Skills have to transfer.

We take what we’ve developed and place it into game-like situations where athletes must read defenders, make decisions, react, compete, and execute at game speed.

5. Create Pressure

I want athletes to experience pressure in training so they aren’t surprised by it in competition.

We challenge them to perform while tired, uncomfortable, challenged, and pushed outside their comfort zone.

6. Build Confidence Through Evidence

I don’t believe in simply telling an athlete, “You can do it.”

I help them prove it to themselves.

Every successful repetition, correction, adjustment, and competitive moment becomes evidence that they are capable of more than they previously believed.

7. Leave With a Plan

We identify what improved, what still needs attention, and what the athlete needs to continue working on.

The goal isn’t to leave exhausted just for the sake of being tired.

The goal is to leave better skilled, mentally stronger, more confident, and more prepared than when you walked through the door.

My career has given me something that can’t be learned from a coaching manual alone:

I’ve been the player chasing the next opportunity, the professional competing at the highest level, and the coach responsible for helping the next generation get there.

That perspective shapes everything I do as a trainer.

The Best Coach I’ve Ever Had

Coach Jerry Harwell.

Coach Harwell is a member of the South Carolina Hall of Fame, but what he taught me went far beyond basketball.

He taught me how to compete. How to prepare. How to believe in myself. How to respond when things weren’t going my way. Most importantly, he taught me what was possible when you committed yourself to becoming great.

Under his coaching and mentorship, I became the No. 1 player in the state of South Carolina and Mr. Basketball, achievements that helped shape the career I would eventually build.

But the greatest thing Coach Harwell gave me wasn’t an award.

He gave me a standard.

That standard has followed me throughout my professional playing career and into coaching.

Now, I have the opportunity to give the next generation what he gave me: belief, accountability, knowledge, and a standard for excellence.

Every time I coach an athlete, I remember what it meant to have someone believe in me before I fully understood what I could become.

That’s the kind of coach I strive to be.

What Athletes & Parents Should Know About Me

There is something I want every athlete and parent to understand before we begin:

I am not just interested in the basketball player. I’m interested in the person inside the basketball player.

I’ve spent more than two decades learning what competition demands physically and mentally. I’ve experienced the pressure of performing, the challenges of adapting, the disappointment of failure, and the confidence that comes from overcoming something you once thought you couldn’t do.

That experience shapes how I coach.

I believe an athlete can have tremendous physical ability and still be held back by fear, insecurity, overthinking, lack of confidence, frustration, or a belief that they’re not good enough.

Sometimes the biggest thing standing between an athlete and their next level isn’t their skill. It’s their belief.

That’s why I coach the whole athlete.

As a basketball coach and trainer, I develop skill, IQ, decision-making, and competitiveness.

As someone who serves as the Lead Pastor of Kingdom Legacy Center, I also spend my life helping people develop confidence, overcome internal barriers, discover purpose, and become stronger from the inside out.

That combination influences the way I train.

I will challenge you.

I will correct you.

I will hold you accountable.

But I will also help you believe in yourself when your confidence is shaken.

I don’t want athletes dependent on me to feel confident. I want them to develop the confidence to trust themselves.

Parents should expect communication, preparation, professionalism, and genuine investment in their child’s development.

Athletes should expect to be pushed beyond what is comfortable while being reminded of what is possible.

Because my ultimate goal isn’t for you to need me forever.

My goal is to develop you to the point where you walk onto the court and think, “I belong here. I’m prepared for this. I know what I’m capable of.”

That’s when training becomes transformation.
