Why Train With Me?

I love basketball and would love to help anyone who has an interest in basketball improve their game. I am a college graduate of Johns Hopkins University where I played varsity basketball all 4 years. I have won 2 Centennial Conference championships and was a 3-time all conference selection who scored 1100 points. I rank 4th in JHU history in career three-point field goals (198) and 3rd in free throw percentage (.830). If you're looking to improve your shot or overall game, I would love to help you.

Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
Josh Loeffler is the best coach I've ever had. Coach Loeffler was my coach at Johns Hopkins and his knowledge about the game and ability to motivate others is something I've studied since being under his tutelage. I hope to exemplify these qualities in my future coaching career.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
Athletes and parents should know that I love basketball and will do anything to help anyone who also enjoys the sport. I am a very patient instructor and will tailor my individual workout plans around exactly what your young athlete needs to improve on.

Coaching Background

Summary of Coaching Background
I have been an assistant and head coach of the prestigious Philly Revolution AAU team for the past 3 years. I have coached a 4th grade team, a 5th grade team, a 6th grade team, a 10th grade team, and an 11th grade team. We have had tremendous success and been crowned the champions of numerous tournaments. My experience at all different levels of coaching youth basketball gives me a great knowledge on what young athletes in specific age groups need to do to improve their games. I have also been a coach at the Mike Rhoades Basketball Camp at Virginia Commonwealth University, the Johns Hopkins University Academic Basketball Camp, the Torresdale Grassroots Basketball Camp, and the Father Judge Annual Basketball Camp.
How can you help someone improve their game?
When I was growing up and trying to become a good shooter, I quickly learned that religiously following the exact same shooting form and repeating this in practice was the key to becoming a good shooter. I think that learning the right way to shoot a basketball is the only way to become a good shooter. Many trainers will ignore the fundamental aspects of shooting in their workout instructions, but I will not. I guarantee you will shoot the ball better after working with me.
What does a typical training session look like?
60 minutes 5 minutes of orchestrated stretching 10 minutes of controlled dribbling, working on repetition and control of the basketball with both hands 10 minutes of form shooting where I can personally instruct the athlete on their form and ways I think they can improve 10 minutes of finishing at the basket with either hand, a skill necessary to play basketball at higher levels 10 minutes of inside the 3-point line shots where the athlete will take game-like shots at full speed to simulate in-game situations 10 minutes of 3-point shooting from all spots on the floor outside the arc 5 minutes of cool down conditioning and stretching to keep athletes healthy and refreshed after a workout.
