Summary of Career and Accomplishments
In my career of running track & field, I have made 1st team all district in high school my junior and senior year (2015,2016), placed 4th place at regional for the 100m, 200m, and 4x4 in 2016, and went to State and placed 6th in the State of Texas in Triple Jump in 2016.
Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
The best coach I ever had was Coach Roan in high school. He used to push me every day in the three sports I played. After practice, we would work on footwork, agility, working on build ups, and also just having a great pace in running. He is the right coach to make sure you are successful. He was the main reason I made state in 2016. He was a great coach and a great friend as well. I hope I can bring the same morale and motivation as a coach like Coach Roan.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
As a former athlete and competitor, I know what it takes to be successful. If we need to stay after hours to work on a particular skill, I may do it with no cost! When you book with me, I will make sure each athlete have a mission, and we will do whatever it takes to accomplish that goal. Athletes and parents will know I will push the limit with no hesitations. We are going to have fun and be successful!
Coaching Background
Summary of Coaching Background
I am rookie of coaching! 2024 will be my first year of coaching. I have been a captain of my track team in 2016 and was able to motivate to push hard every time pass the finish line. My leadership style is encouraging, but can be direct in certain directions. Coaching track athletes will be a challenge but with proper time, I will make sure every athlete will accomplish their goals and fulfill their dreams!
How can you help someone improve their game?
As a runner, the first thing to remember is how to control your breathing. Without proper breathing, your stamina will decease every second. Secondly, pace and increase your speed every 10th meter. Every race is a build up including hurdles, you have to find a rhythm and build your speed up so you are able to reach different PRs. Lastly, improve your starts! Coming out off a block or the start line is very important. The first burst to increase your adrenaline will have you one step way to win the race!
What does a typical training session look like?
A training session will consists of many drills:
- 10 minutes of stretching
- 10 minutes of footwork drills
- 15 minutes of agility drills'
- 10 minutes of running/sprinting drills
Every drill has to be taken seriously, any drill that is not done 100% can lead you to get second instead of first in an event. Study hard and work hard each session!
