I'm a basketball coach based in New York City with a genuine love for player development. I currently coach girls basketball at the United Nations International School (UNIS) in Manhattan, where I work with a student body from 40+ countries. Before UNIS, I coached youth ages 5–13 with the Volo Kids Foundation, running clinics focused on skill, mindset, and sportsmanship. I also hold a USA Basketball Gold Coach License and a NFHS Certified Interscholastic Coach credential. Basketball has taken me a long way, including a tryout callback with the Idaho Stampede in the NBA D-League, and that playing experience shapes everything I bring to my athletes today.
My focus is on building players who understand the game, not just follow instructions. I teach a read-and-react framework where I emphasize spacing, positioning, decision-making, and build basketball IQ. Whether you're learning the basics or sharpening your game for a high school roster spot, I'll give you an honest assessment of where you are and a clear plan for where you can go. I also work on the mental side, composure, confidence, and competing with purpose.
Sessions start with a quick individual warmup. Then we move into skill work: ball-handling, footwork, or shooting mechanics depending on where the athlete is.
From there we go into live reads: game-speed situations where you're making decisions, not just running drills. It helps to have a partner to defend, but I can also defend to help build confidence and switch to offense to teach defense too. Every session ends with a debrief of what we worked on, and what clicked so far. Coaches typically move on to the next skill in the next session, but revisting the past drills and skills are important too! Sessions are structured but never rigid; I adjust to what the athlete needs that day.
Currently serving as Basketball Coach at the United Nations International School (UNIS) in Manhattan (Nov 2025–Present), leading after-school clinics for 9th and 10th grade players.
Previously Lead Basketball Coach at the Volo Kids Foundation (Mar 2024–2025), coaching youth ages 5–13 across seasonal clinics in NYC.
Certifications: USA Basketball Gold Coach License, NFHS Certified Interscholastic Coach, Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, NYS Fingerprint Clearance.
Playing career highlight: callback invitation tryout following a national open tryout in 2010 (NBA Development League)
My Rec League coach in the 2nd grade. Through him and his assistant, I had a very good understanding of the basics to basketball, and it made so much more sense when I watched my heroes complete moves on the court. I naturally became a superior defender thanks to them!
I'm direct, consistent, and invested in the whole athlete and not just their jump shot. Parents can expect clear communication and a coach who shows up prepared. Athletes can expect to be challenged, respected, and held accountable in equal measure. Every player I work with gets my real attention. My goal isn't just to make you better at basketball. It's to make you someone who competes well under pressure, which I believe pays off in every part of life.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.
Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
Good Fit Guarantee — If your first lesson isn't the right fit, we'll move your lesson credit to a new coach. No hassle.
Easy rescheduling — Cancel or reschedule up to 4 hours before a lesson, no questions asked.
Coach no-shows — You'll be fully credited and we'll help you find a replacement.
Flexible credits — Unused lessons last 12 months and can be used with any coach on the platform.
