About Me:

Former NCAA Division I softball player at Baylor University with national-highlight experience (SportsCenter Top 10). Passionate about developing the complete athlete—physically, mentally, and in character. Founder of Vault 27, a premium virtual coaching program delivering personalized, high-impact training for committed softball players through advanced skill work, film analysis, customized strength & conditioning, elite mental performance, and optional faith-based mindset coaching. Proven experience running camps, clinics, private lessons, and youth programs. I'm excited to bring D1-level insight and individualized coaching to via Athletes Untapped. Serious about helping dedicated athletes unlock their full potential and reach the next level.

How I can help you improve your game:

As your private softball coach, I bring NCAA Division I experience from Baylor University—complete with national-highlight plays—and a proven, personalized system designed to elevate committed players to the college level.

Through one-on-one in-person lessons, I’ll deliver customized training that targets your specific needs: advanced hitting and fielding mechanics, game-speed decision-making, explosive strength & conditioning, film breakdown of your swings/at-bats, and elite mental performance tools to build unbreakable confidence and focus under pressure. I also offer optional faith-integrated mindset work for athletes who want to strengthen their identity and purpose on and off the field.

My approach is holistic and results-driven—I’ve already helped serious athletes ages 12-18 make massive strides through my premium program Vault 27, and now I’m excited to bring that same high-impact, D1-level coaching directly to you. Whether you’re refining mechanics, preparing for showcases, or developing the complete competitive edge, I’ll create a tailored plan that accelerates your progress and helps you stand out to college recruiters. Limited spots—let’s unlock your full potential together.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

A typical 60-minute private softball training session with me is high-energy, fully personalized, and designed to deliver immediate, actionable progress—whether we're working in-person or virtually.

We start with a quick check-in (5 minutes): I ask how your body feels, what went well since our last session, and any specific challenges or game situations you want to address. This ensures every minute is tailored to your current needs and goals.

Next, we dive into a dynamic warm-up and movement prep (10 minutes) focused on softball-specific mobility, activation, and injury prevention—think arm care, rotational drills, and explosive priming to get you moving like an elite athlete.

The core of the session (35-40 minutes) is customized skill work based on your priorities and film review. Examples include:

Hitting: Live front-toss or machine work with instant feedback on mechanics, timing, pitch recognition, and approach adjustments.

Fielding/Defense: Position-specific reps (infield/outfield), footwork drills, game-speed grounders/fly balls, and transfer/throwing progressions.

Pitching/Catching: Targeted mechanics, command drills, spin work, or receiving/blocking sequences.

I emphasize quality reps, real-time video analysis (recorded on the spot), and deliberate practice—so you leave understanding exactly what to work on next.

We wrap up with a mental edge segment and cool-down (5-10 minutes): A quick mindset tool (breathing, visualization, or confidence cue), optional faith-based reflection if desired, progress recap, and homework assignment to keep momentum going.

Every session builds on the last, tracks measurable improvements, and gets you closer to college-level readiness. Expect intensity, encouragement, and D1-level insight—because I’m fully invested in helping you become the complete player you’re capable of being.

Career summary and accomplishments:

I played NCAA Division I softball at Baylor University in the highly competitive Big 12 Conference, competing against top-ranked programs and on a national stage. During my time with the Bears, I developed elite-level skills, game intelligence, and the mental toughness required to perform under intense pressure. A career highlight was executing a standout defensive play that earned national recognition, landing on SportsCenter's Top 10—a moment that showcased the speed, instincts, and preparation honed through collegiate training. My experience at Baylor gave me firsthand insight into what college coaches look for in recruits: advanced mechanics, explosive athleticism, pitch recognition, situational awareness, and an unbreakable competitive mindset. Now, as a coach, I pass those exact standards and lessons directly to my athletes through personalized private training, helping them build the complete profile needed to play at the next level.

Best coach I ever had:

The best coach I ever had was Mike Massaro from Pueblo, Colorado—a Pueblo native with deep roots in the local sports community. As a standout multi-sport athlete at Pueblo East High School (three-time All-South Central League in baseball and basketball batting champion as a senior), he went on to star at Colorado State University Pueblo, earning two-time All-RMAC honors and holding career records in key offensive categories. Drafted by the Oakland Athletics, he played professionally up to Triple-A and in independent leagues before returning home to coach.

Mike has spent years as an assistant baseball coach at CSU Pueblo (contributing to multiple RMAC titles and NCAA appearances) and serves as head basketball coach at Pueblo East High School, where he's led teams to state championships and earned Coach of the Year honors. His hitting expertise, player development skills, and commitment to building character through sport taught me invaluable lessons in discipline, resilience, and giving back to the community—principles I now carry into my own coaching with Vault 27 and private lessons.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

I’m a former NCAA Division I softball player from Baylor University, where I competed on a national stage and earned a SportsCenter Top 10 highlight—experiences that taught me what it truly takes to perform at the highest level. Since graduating, I’ve dedicated myself to coaching the next generation through youth camps, clinics, one-on-one lessons, a YMCA summer program, and founding Vault 27, my premium virtual coaching business.

What sets my coaching apart is a holistic, D1-informed approach: I don’t just work on mechanics—I build the complete athlete. Every session and plan combines advanced skill development, film analysis, explosive strength & conditioning, elite mental performance training, and optional faith-based mindset work to strengthen identity and confidence beyond the field. My goal is simple: help committed players gain the physical, mental, and competitive edge needed to reach college softball while growing into resilient, purposeful young women.

I’m selective with my athletes because I’m fully invested in their progress—I only take serious, coachable players ready to put in the work. Parents can expect clear communication, measurable improvement, and a coach who cares about their daughter’s long-term development as much as her on-field success. I’m excited to bring this proven system to in-person private lessons through Athletes Untapped. If you’re ready to unlock next-level potential, let’s get to work.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you find yourself needing to cancel or adjust your booking within 24 hours of your purchase, just let us know. We'll provide a refund - no questions asked. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we're here to support your learning journey.
