About Me:

A first generation, psychology major, track and cross country student athlete at North Carolina Central University and a 3rd generation US Army Combat Engineer soldier from the small town of Manning, South Carolina.

Been running since the age of 14.

Dear all future runners, clients, and friends,

Welcome to my world. My name is Sebastian "Huncho". "Huncho" stands for the ownership of one's own life. I chose to become a coach to become more vulnerable as a person. Vulnerability is one of the highest forms of humanity anyone can practice universally. I can only truly own my life by being vulnerable. Me sharing my story with you will help me become a better person, while helping you to become a better runner.

I choose to coach beginner runners because I want to share the love that it provides to more people. Running has saved my life. It gave me a ticket out of my city. It pays for some of my education. Serves as therapy. Gives me freedom. Makes me love my self further. It gives me community, love, discipline, structure etc. I want to share these experiences with you.

I value truth and knowledge heavily. With my training methods, you will get what truly works and the reasoning behind it based on my own experience and my research. You will get nothing short of the truth in my consultations. I will not sugarcoat anything. The goal is to help you make running a new habit in your life and to help you become a Huncho in your own way by owning your life. Any new stimulus can be uncomfortable at first, but I promise you, we will make this fun. Expect me to be hard on you though.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

We will discuss one's current situation and set some SMART goals to build a sense of direction for something we'll work towards. Then, we'll gradually progress towards that goal. For the 1 on 1 mental sessions, depending on what the athlete is facing mentally, we will still connect to the problem at the root and work towards progressing to confident and autonomous behavior.

Awards & Honors:

Combined over 300 Community Service Hours between the United Service, Organizations, Red Cross, and with the Athletic Operations Department at North Carolina Central University. ‘25-’26

Completed a deployment as a member of the 323rd Combat Engineers Company in Kuwait, supporting Operation Spartan Shield. Was awarded an Army Achievement Medal for contributions and dedication. Nov ‘25

Member of Track and Cross Country teams at Converse University and North Carolina Central University from ‘21-’26.

Was a part of the first Men’s cross country/track team ever at Converse University (former all women’s school) and holds records from the 800m - 8k.

Instrumental in securing a 1st place team finish at the Cedric Walker HBCU Cross Country Challenge and a 2nd place team finish in the MEAC Championships among a field of 10+ competing schools in ‘24.

Won the Army Shadow Run series (sponsored by Hoist Hydration) 10 mile run championship in Kuwait, 1 mile competition and every 5k race. ‘25

Each of these awards took tremendous dedication, time, effort, and discipline. I am blessed to have been bestowed with talent to be able to chase and achieve each of these challenges.

I give affordable, consistent and accurate coaching. I want to watch athletes grow long term and achieve their goals. I know what it's like to struggle with mental health when pursuing a goal, whether it be injury bounce backs, balancing school with work and athletics, or avoiding burnout. I have been through it all and studied it, so giving my wisdom to ease the challenges they could face is fulfilling for me.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
