My coaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that technique and discipline beat raw athleticism. Throughout my football career, I was often the smallest guy on the field. I didn't earn my starting spots or my Scholar Athlete award (4.2 GPA) by being the most naturally gifted; I found success by mastering technical mechanics and out-working the competition. I teach athletes that if you can’t overpower your opponent, you must out-leverage and out-think them. I view coaching as a form of mentorship. I believe in finding success in all domains of life, and I strive to help my clients grow as individuals, not just athletes. I want to instill habits of health and persistence that translate to the classroom and the real world. My communication style is supportive but competitive. I push for growth while acknowledging exactly where the athlete is currently at. I am optimistic about their potential but realistic about the work required, tailoring my coaching to build genuine confidence. I am a great fit for Athletes Untapped because I combine this empathy with structure—helping players track simple metrics to evaluate their success and see tangible progress. Health and fitness are major points of emphasis to me and I’m a top percentile weight lifter for my weight. Finally, I bring a unique analytical edge from my Business Information Systems background and AI/Machine Learning sports data modeling (achieving 3500% ROI from football based scouting and wagering). I use this mindset to help athletes track simple performance metrics, allowing them to evaluate their success track their growth.

About Me:

Hey y’all, I’m 21 with wisdom like I’m 50 and energy like I’m 18. I’m a senior Business IS major UCR and have experience playing 13+ years of football, 5 years of soccer, 3 years of track and field, and 8 years of intense weight training. In my younger days I wasn’t the most gifted athlete, but still always earned a starting role by mastering my technique, game awareness, competitiveness, concentration, and the playbook. I now have much improved athletic abilities and would love to share my training regimen as to how I’ve achieved this. I have played nearly every position on the field but I am best specialized for wide receivers and cornerbacks. In university, I have been team captain and quarterback of our IM team that has made playoffs every year as well as won 1 championship. For this team, I am in charge of scheduling practices, creating plays, and coaching up my peers. I love sharing what I’ve learned

What a typical training session looks like with me:

I like intrinsically motivated students and like to ask them what areas of their game they feel is weakest and want to improve. We then warm up based on the type of workout/training session we will have (track and field warmups versus football warmups). We then throw the ball around and do basic drills at full speed. For first time students we will create a plan with tangible goals of where we want to be by a certain deadline. Each session will be tailored to the specific player’s goals as well as their strengths and weaknesses as a player. I still play various sports including football and enjoy participating in workouts with students rather than just bossing them around.

Best coach I ever had:

The best coach I ever had was my Freshman year wide receivers coach, Coach Soto. He took the time to build a relationship with each player and I’m still connected to this coach to this day. He didn’t view his players as chess pieces, but as people with unique lives, ambitions, and hardships. Coach Soto was the perfect blend of competitive and passionate while also having fun and enjoying the moment. This coaching style was also highly effective and I was most motivated, inspired, and enjoyed football more than ever. I attribute my success in later years to this coach and that year I really took my game to the next level.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

Everything I do, I do with presence, passion, and purpose. Although there are other pursuits in my life beyond sports, when I step onto that field, the game and my students have my undivided attention and effort.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
