About Me:

Throughout my football career, I had the privilege of excelling at multiple positions and achieving significant milestones. At Montana Tech, I played primarily cornerback and on special occasions wide receiver, an uncommon feat as most players are only recruited for a single position. As a cornerback, I recorded 40 solo tackles, 6 interceptions (1 returned for a touchdown), 3 blocked field goals, and 2 forced fumbles in just 15 games. While lining up as a receiver in only 3 games, I caught 4 passes for 136 yards and 1 touchdown. These performances earned me sit-down visits with NFL teams, where I participated in film sessions, the Wonderlic test, and the weight and measurement process. My unique versatility shaped my career and drew the attention of professional scouts.

With 14 years of playing experience, collegiate success, and professional scouting exposure, I understand the dedication and discipline required to excel as an athlete. My experience, equips me to develop position-specific skills and game awareness. As a performance trainer, I design tailored fitness and conditioning workouts to enhance speed, strength, and endurance. My approach combines technical skills, mental toughness, and athletic performance strategies to help athletes unlock their full potential and achieve their goals.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

A typical training session with me lasts no longer than approximately 90 minutes and begins with a dynamic warm-up to prepare the body for peak performance. From there, the session is tailored to the athlete's sport, position, goals, and areas of focus. Regardless of the specifics, I emphasize speed, agility, lateral quickness, explosive power, balance, and strength. Drills and exercises are designed to maximize performance while addressing individual needs, ensuring every session is both challenging and impactful for the athlete's development.

Career summary and accomplishments:

As a coach, I have worked with athletes at every level, specifically as a “skill position” coach including but not limited to RB/DB/WR/TE, where I focused on developing their skills, speed, and position specific training.

Best coach I ever had:

Every coach I’ve had throughout my career has played a vital role in my development as an athlete, and I am incredibly grateful for each of them. However, one coach who stood out the most was my junior college coach at Monterey Peninsula College, Mike Rasmussen, or "Coach Ras." I only played under him for one year before earning a scholarship to Montana Tech, but in that short time, he left a lasting impact on my life. Coach Ras showed tough love, taught the value of commitment and competition, and emphasized resilience in the face of challenges. He treated every player equally and expected the best from everyone. Under his guidance, I grew physically and mentally, leaving the program more prepared for life than when I arrived. I’ll never forget his famous one-liners, especially, “Don’t tell me how rough the waters are, just bring the ship in!”

What athletes and parents should know about me:

My experience as both a football player and coach, combined with my previous background in law enforcement and fitness training, makes me highly qualified for this role as a speed, strength, and football trainer. I played football for 14 years, earning a scholarship to Montana Tech after excelling at Monterey Peninsula College. My time as a collegiate athlete, during which I was scouted by NFL teams, gave me firsthand knowledge of what it takes to compete at an elite level.

I maintain a high level of personal fitness, training six days a week with both gym and field workouts, and my passion for athlete development has only grown. I have experience working with athletes of all ages and levels, from youth to high school and college, helping improve their performance and reach their goals. My unique combination of playing, coaching, and professional fitness training experience equips me with knowledge and passion to inspire and guide athletes toward success.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
