While working in professional hockey, I have had the enjoyment of working with some of the best athletes at their sport. During this time I have been able to see all of the resources that are used to allow these athletes to be at their best. One thing that always surprised me though is a lack of presence for the mental performance side of sports. Considering that there is no equipment required for the majority of the work, I enjoyed learning about how the mental side of the sport can be one of the easiest to work on given in all reality, it just takes a person who desires to improve. Learning strategies to deal with confidence, stress management, performance anxiety, and more has been one of the bigger difference makers with the athletes I work with. Getting YOU to trust you when performing can be daunting at times, but the process to working with individuals in these spaces is something I have a true passion for.

About Me:

My name is Parker Poore. Traditionally I have worked in the performance world as a Strength and Conditioning coach. During these years, I have also been able to build an education around Applied Sports Psychology. I have been able to develop and apply these skills in the professional sports setting under my current role as Head Performance Coach with the Tucson Roadrunners of the AHL. I love to watch and facilitate others developing their skills towards the sports that they love. Whether it is learning more about Performance Psychology as a new tool for an athlete, or working with high level athletes looking to develop 1% more, I like to dive in with my athletes to truly have an affect on not only their sport, but their personal selves as well.

How I can help you improve your game:

I can help improve your game but taking an human first approach. By learning who you are away from your sport, I will be better able to serve and apply the concepts we work through to flow in to your sport. My goal is to create autonomy in your performance so that you feel you are in control on not only your physical execution in your sport, but more improtantly the mentality you bring to each practice and game.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

A typical training session with me is similar to getting a cup of coffee or lunch. All my sessions start by working with one another over zoom to ensure that we have a compatible working relationship. If that seems so, we can arrange more in person work. These sessions will be built around learning about my clients sport history, goals, accomplishments, strengths, as well as weaknesses. By being able to discuss these topics more candidly, we will be able to work through various topics that will be applicable for the athlete for their long term athletic development and performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
