About Me:

I am 28 years old and from San Jose, CA. I have played basketball my whole life and still regularly play. Coaching and teaching has always been a passion of mine. I graduated from University of San Francisco with my Masters in Education and my teaching credentials but decided to go into coaching right out of school. I love working with players and seeing them improve their games and enjoy the process. Basketball should be fun, and I always strive to keep the joy in the process as I design my training.

How I can help you improve your game:

Player development is my specialty and I love working on skill development, shooting, ball handling, and footwork. I am always ready to talk basketball, break down film, and answer any questions you have about the game. In our first session, I will ask you what your goals are and we will build a plan together from there to help you achieve them.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

In a typical hour long training session, I like to tailor my workouts to the player. Each workout is individualized to maximize the time and make sure that we are hitting all of the focus areas that you want to improve upon. Typically there will be a mix of ball handling, shooting, finishing moves, and various guard or pst move breakdowns.

Career summary and accomplishments:

At University of San Francisco, we had a very successful 4 years in my time coaching there, finishing every season in the top 4 of the WCC and making 3 NIT tournaments. 9 former players that I worked with went on to play professionally in leagues throughout Europe and Australia.

At Bucknell University, we went 17-14 overall and 11-7 in conference, good for 4th place in the Patriot League.

As a player, I played varsity basketball at Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose, CA, helping lead my team to the state championship my senior year.

Best coach I ever had:

The best coach I ever had was my high school coach. He really taught me how to work hard and push myself. I learned and grew the most under him and definitely developed my basketball IQ as a point guard and future coach.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

If you are a high school player or someone thinking about playing in college, I have a wealth of knowledge about the recruiting process, what coaches are looking for, and tips to get you on coaches radars and prepared to play in college. I am always willing to talk about playing at any level and watch film with the players too if you have any game tape or even nba/wnba/college film you'd like me to take a look at. I love the game and want to help in any way I can!

I can be flexible with scheduling as well. Send me a message and we can find a good time that works for you!

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

  • Good Fit Guarantee — If your first lesson isn't the right fit, we'll move your lesson credit to a new coach. No hassle.
