About Me:

Running has shaped my life for over a decade, from a top-10 finish in the Colorado 5A state championships and competing as an NCAA Division I distance runner at Santa Clara University, to earning a spot at West Regionals four years in a row; Not because I was the fastest, but because I stayed healthy and consistent when others didn't.

That experience is the core of how I coach. I help runners build sustainable habits, attune to their bodies, and make progress that lasts, whether you're training for your first 5k or chasing a PR.

How I can help you improve your game:

Whether you're training for your first 5K, looking to build a consistent running routine, or pursuing competitive high school and collegiate goals, I can help guide your development. My own running journey took me from a 20+ minute 5K as a freshman to a sub-16:30 runner and top-10 finisher at the Colorado 5A Cross Country State Championships as a senior. That experience taught me that improvement comes from consistency, smart training, and accountability, principles that form the foundation of my coaching approach.

I was able to continue competitive running after high school as an NCAA D1 collegiate distance runner in track and cross country, recording personal bests of 15:22 in the 5K, 31:41 in the 10K cross country, and 24:57 in the 8K cross country. Competing at the collegiate level gave me firsthand experience with structured training, race preparation, goal setting, and long-term athletic development. These experiences help me guide athletes as they work toward their own running goals.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

Each 90 minute session is tailored to the athlete's goals and current fitness level. A typical session includes a dynamic warm-up and running drills (10 minutes), a guided training run or workout (40–60 minutes), core and strength exercises to improve running efficiency and reduce injury risk (15 minutes), and a brief check-in focused on goal setting, race preparation, visualization techniques, and training plan adjustments (10 minutes).

Career summary and accomplishments:

I competed as a distance runner at Santa Clara University, an NCAA Division I program. Prior to college, I was a top runner in Colorado's highly competitive 5A classification. My accomplishments include a 9th-place finish at the Colorado 5A State Cross Country Championships, winning the Centennial League 3200m title, qualifying for the Colorado 5A State Track & Field Championships in the 3200m, and competing successfully at both the state and collegiate levels. These experiences taught me what it takes to develop as an athlete over the long term and perform under pressure.

Personal Records:

1500m (Track): 4:14

3200m (Track): 9:55

5k (Track): 15:22

8K (XC): 24:57

10K (XC): 31:41

Best coach I ever had:

The best coaches I had were those who balanced high expectations with genuine support. They challenged me to push myself while also giving me the confidence to trust my own intuition, body and effort level.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

I was never the fastest runner on my team but I competed at the West Coast Conference championships and West Regional meets every year in college while others around me faced season-ending injuries and burnout. My coaching is built around teaching athletes to train sustainably, listen to their bodies, and hit intermediate milestones that keep motivation high for the long run. I'm less focused on squeezing out maximum short-term gains and more focused on making sure you're still running, and enjoying it years from now.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
