Athletic Background
Summary of Career and Accomplishments
I’ve built my baseball career on resilience, hard work, and a passion for constant improvement. In high school, limited playing time fueled my determination to get better, leading to a transformative journey in college baseball. After redshirting my first year, I earned the starting center fielder spot at Moorpark College, where I was a 3-year starter, including during the COVID season.
Transferring to La Sierra University presented a new challenge, but I quickly earned a starting outfielder role. In my first year, I was having a career-best season, hitting .365 and on track for All-Conference honors before tearing my ACL midseason. What could have ended my career became a defining moment. I overcame the injury through hard work and determination, returning just nine months later to reclaim my starting role. One of my proudest moments was hitting a walk-off home run against the very team I tore my ACL against.
Across four years as a starting collegiate outfielder, I maintained a .312 batting average, demonstrating consistency and grit. My journey reflects the perseverance and dedication I bring to the game and to those I coach.
Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
The best coach I ever had was Tom Seyler, one of my assistant coaches in high school. Coach Seyler had an incredible ability to see potential where others didn’t, and he believed in me when I needed it most. He constantly reminded me to never give up and pushed me to become the best version of myself, both on and off the field. Whether it was offering to throw me batting practice anytime, anywhere even after I graduated, or providing unwavering encouragement, he always went above and beyond. Coach Seyler’s dedication and support left a lasting impact on my life, and I’m proud to still stay in touch with him today. He continues to inspire athletes as a he now is a coach at my alma mater, Moorpark College.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
Athletes and parents should know that I’m a dedicated and passionate coach who brings both personal and professional experience to the field. Growing up in Agoura Hills, CA, and playing baseball since the age of three, I’ve built my life around this game, from high school at Agoura High to six years of collegiate baseball at Moorpark College and La Sierra University. My journey from limited playing time in high school to becoming a four-year starting outfielder at the college level, overcoming setbacks like a major ACL injury, reflects my resilience and commitment to growth.
Off the field, I value spending time with my family and girlfriend, enjoying the beauty of the beach, playing video games, and watching movies. These interests help me connect with players and families on a personal level, fostering trust and open communication. My coaching style is rooted in instilling confidence, discipline, and a love for the game while creating a positive and encouraging environment. My goal is to help young athletes unlock their potential and develop as both players and individuals.
Coaching Background
Summary of Coaching Background
I have a strong coaching background, having worked with players aged 6 to 17, building my own clientele from the foundation provided by my former coach. I’ve also coached with Legacy Baseball Group in West Hills, where I had the privilege of learning from elite coaches like Joe Guntz at Harvard-Westlake, who has developed MLB stars such as Lucas Giolito, Jack Flaherty, and Max Fried, as well as rising talents like Bryce Rainer. My experience has shaped my ability to develop players’ skills and confidence, helping them grow both on and off the field.
How can you help someone improve their game?
With years of playing and coaching experience, I can help athletes improve their game both physically and mentally. I specialize in developing fundamental and advanced skills, tailoring instruction to each player’s position, age, and goals. Having overcome my own obstacles, I focus on building confidence and teaching the resilience needed to push through challenges. My time as a collegiate player and work with elite coaches like Joe Guntz have sharpened my ability to teach game strategy and situational awareness, helping players develop a strong baseball IQ. I emphasize hard work and a positive mindset, showing athletes how to unlock their potential on and off the field. Whether it’s refining mechanics, improving mental toughness, or navigating their baseball journey, I am committed to helping players achieve their goals while fostering a lifelong love for the game.
What does a typical training session look like?
A typical training session with me is focused, personalized, and designed to help athletes improve their skills while building confidence and mental toughness. We start with a dynamic warm-up to prepare for peak performance, followed by drills tailored to the athlete’s goals—whether it’s refining hitting mechanics, improving outfield footwork, or enhancing game awareness. I incorporate situational scenarios to develop baseball IQ and decision-making under pressure. Throughout the session, I emphasize positive reinforcement, helping athletes build confidence in their abilities. We also take time to discuss the mental side of the game, teaching strategies for focus, resilience, and balancing the demands of baseball with life off the field. Each session ends with a review of progress and setting clear goals for continued growth.
