Hello fellow athletes! Most people call me Suzy! When I train my goal is to uplift and challenge. Being an athlete can be physically hard but also mentally hard. I take pride in my mentorship towards my trainees. My main focuses while training are agility, ball movement, awareness, quick thinking, fundamentals, and so much more. Without a doubt my sessions can be challenging but with the right mindset and support from me sessions can always be positive. I also like to have fun. Basketball or any sport can be an escape from life and can help many people grow as not only an athlete but also a person. My goal for all trainees is to see them reach their full potential and support them no matter what. My coaching style is very hands on and I also like to participate with the trainees so they can see how much I care. I by no means am a coach that is bound to the sideline just giving orders.

About Me:

I was a basketball player for 14 years. The last 7 years I took my career in basketball very seriously. From doing private sessions after school practice to shooting in the driveway until the street lights come on I was all in. My favorite accomplishment while playing basketball was receiving the award for most potential in 8th grade. That award filled me with motivation and it opened my eyes to big dreams. Another accomplishment I take pride is was being invited by Kendall Marshall to come to some of his training sessions. Kendall is a former college and pro athlete and the expeirence was so much fun.

How I can help you improve your game:

I can help someone improve their game by boosting their confidence and working on the little things to then see the big picture.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

A typical training session with me is broken up into pieces. We first start off with getting loose and warming up our ball handling. The more sessions I do with you the more ball handling skills we will master. Then we will get some shots up and shoot from in the arc to beyond the arc depending on what position you are. Next we will work on individual position skills. This will involve working on foot work and correct form.

Best coach I ever had:

My favorite coach I had was one of my trainers Tre who is now a coach for the Notre Dame mens basketball team. He was a trainer at a basketball facility called "Groundwork". While training with him he pushed me to be the best athlete I could be. He made me believe I could do more than I thought I could and because of him I gained the confidence I needed to show out.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

A huge thing I take seriously is athlete mental health. I will forever put mental health over everything. I am one to set boundaries to and also allow trainees to set and express their own boundaries. I want to be known as a trainer but also a mentor. I believe trust is a big part of sports to. I will work with trainees to gain their trust so we can have positive sessions and be able to walk away knowing we worked our hardest and gained more skills.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
