With an impressive track record as an Athlete, including 2 team NJCAA national champions at Barton County in 2005- 2007, while attending Western Illinois I achieve a top 10 spot in school history in the mens 60m dash, and contributing to the University of Memphis from 2008 to 2010, I bring a wealth of experience and proven success to elevate your athletic performance.
Throughout my coaching career in track and field, I have achieved over 10 plus individual state championships, guiding numerous athletes to success at the highest level. In 2018, I coached a state championship team and followed it up with a runner-up performance in 2019. With a deep focus on developing talent, I’ve led multiple state qualifiers and helped athletes set 2 state records. My commitment to excellence has consistently delivered top-tier results, proving my ability to shape champions.

A private track and field workout typically focuses on personalized training to enhance your specific event, whether it's sprints, distance running, jumps, or throws. Here's what a well-rounded session could look like:
1. Warm-Up (15-20 minutes)
Dynamic stretches: High knees, butt kicks, leg swings, arm circles
Light jogging: 5-10 minutes to raise body temperature
Mobility drills: Lunges, ankle mobility, hip openers to improve flexibility
2. Event-Specific Drills (20-30 minutes)
Sprints: Short acceleration drills (30m, 50m, 100m) focusing on technique, form, and speed
Distance running: Tempo runs, intervals, or fartlek training for endurance
Jumps: Approach work, take-off drills, and landing technique
Throws: Work on release, speed, and technique in shot put, discus, etc.
3. Strength & Conditioning (20-30 minutes)
Core exercises: Planks, Russian twists, V-ups
Plyometrics: Box jumps, bounding, depth jumps
Weight training: Squats, deadlifts, cleans (depending on goals)
Explosive work: Medicine ball throws, resistance band sprints
4. Speed/Endurance Training (15-20 minutes)
Sprint intervals: 200m or 400m repeats with short recovery for speed endurance
Hill sprints: Great for power and conditioning
Tempo runs: Steady pace to build aerobic capacity
5. Cool Down (10-15 minutes)
Light jogging: 5 minutes to bring heart rate down
Static stretching: Focus on hamstrings, quads, calves, and upper body
Foam rolling: To relieve muscle tightness and improve recovery
6. Technical Review
Work with a coach or trainer to analyze technique and make necessary adjustments.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.
Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
