Most athletes train their body every day but never train their mind. I help athletes develop the mental skills that separate good from great. We build confidence under pressure, focus when it counts, composure after mistakes, and routines that create consistent performance. I played college baseball at Hawaii Pacific University and Grand Canyon University, and spent time in professional baseball environments including independent league camps and spring training. I experienced firsthand how the mental side of the game determines whether your physical ability actually shows up when it matters. Certified Mental Performance Coach through Brian Cain's Mental Performance Mastery program and a Certified Life and Success Coach through Jay Shetty's program. My primary focus is on Mindset and Mental Performance, but I also hold certifications and have completed training in meditation, NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), and somatic coaching (body-based awareness and nervous system regulation). My approach helps athletes train their mind, body, and breath to regulate their state, reset under pressure, and perform with trust in their preparation. This is for athletes who already put in the work physically but struggle with nerves, overthinking, inconsistency, or performing below their potential when the moment gets big. If the mental side of your game isn't keeping up with the physical side, that's exactly where I come in.

I'm a Mental Performance Coach who helps athletes strengthen the mental side of their game. I don't teach mechanics or run drills. I work on what most coaches never touch: confidence, focus, composure under pressure, bouncing back from mistakes, and building the routines and habits that lead to consistent performance.
I played college baseball at Hawaii Pacific University and Grand Canyon University, and spent time in professional baseball environments including independent league camps and spring training. I know what it feels like to compete at different levels, to deal with pressure on and off the field, and to have moments where the mental side of the game makes or breaks your performance.
I'm a Certified Mental Performance Coach through Brian Cain's Mental Performance Mastery program and a Certified Life and Success Coach through Jay Shetty's program. I also hold certifications and training in meditation, NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), and somatic coaching (body-based awareness and nervous system regulation). My approach helps athletes train their mind, body, and breath so they can regulate their state, reset under pressure, and perform with trust in themselves and their preparation.
I work with athletes of all ages and all sports. The mental skills we build together apply whether you're a 12-year-old stepping into your first competitive season or a college athlete trying to perform consistently at a higher level.
Most coaches talk about mental toughness and being mentally strong, but they never explain what that actually means or how you develop it. They almost certainly don't dedicate time to training it. That's what I do.
I help athletes build specific mental skills they can use before, during, and after competition. We work on building real confidence that holds up in games, not just in practice. We work on staying focused instead of getting distracted by mistakes, pressure, or expectations. We build the ability to reset quickly after a bad play instead of letting it carry into the next one. We create pre-game routines that help athletes show up ready, focused, and locked in. We address the overthinking, self-doubt, and nerves that hold athletes back from playing the way they're capable of.
This isn't motivational talk or a pep talk on the sideline. It's structured Mental Performance training that gives athletes real, practical tools they can use immediately.
Sessions are 60 minutes and are available in person (Phoenix, Arizona area) or virtually through video call.
I use a structured approach built around core Mental Performance areas like focus, confidence, composure, routines, and habits. Every athlete moves through a proven framework, but how we apply it is always tailored to the individual. Where we spend our time and which tools we use depend on the athlete, their sport, and what they're dealing with right now.
We start each session with a check-in: what's going on in their sport, what's coming up, what's been on their mind. From there, we work through Mental Performance concepts, exercises, and tools based on what they need most that day. Some sessions focus on building a pre-game routine. Others focus on working through a confidence issue, learning how to refocus after a mistake, managing nerves before a big game, or strengthening habits and discipline in their daily training.
We close every session with one clear takeaway, something simple and specific the athlete can practice at their next game or training session right away. The goal is for every athlete to walk away with something they can use immediately, not just something they talked about.

Coach Mike Bailey. I first met him at a Stottlemyre baseball camp when I was about 12. He saw something in me as a hitter that I didn't see in myself. He worked with me that day, and before I knew it, I was smoking line drives. I remember the moment he was so impressed with how much I had improved that he walked me over to the camp merch booth and bought me a "frozen ropes" t-shirt because I had been hitting frozen ropes all hitting session. That was the first time I ever felt truly confident as a hitter.
He ended up becoming my JV coach in high school. He continued to believe in me, challenged me, and helped me improve using concepts that were fun, relatable, and easy to understand. I was our number one pitcher, played outfield, and often played a JV game and then joined the varsity team right after to pinch hit, pinch run, or pitch as needed. That was a pretty substantial mental load for a 16-year-old, but Coach Bailey gave me the freedom to play aggressively and the confidence to handle the switch from being a top player on JV to a role player helping varsity win in different ways.
When it was time to explore playing in college, I had no help from my varsity coaches and no idea how the process worked. Coach Bailey, also a high school teacher, let me stay after class or visit him during his break time to research schools, figure out which teams might be a good fit, and put together a plan for how I would reach out to schools and create a recruiting video. I walked on at Hawaii Pacific University, made the team, and played there for three years because of his guidance.
Whether he knew it or not, Coach Bailey was helping me with my mindset, routines, habits, and mental performance long before I knew those words. That belief and confidence he instilled in me is exactly what I aim to give every athlete I work with today.
I take this work seriously because I've lived it. I know what it feels like to have someone believe in you before you believe in yourself, and I know what it costs when you don't have the mental tools to handle pressure in the moments that matter most. Both of those experiences shaped why I do this work.
I'm not going to yell, lecture, or give your athlete a motivational speech they forget by the next day. I'm going to meet them where they are, understand what's actually going on in their head, and give them real tools they can use. I'm patient, I'm direct, I keep things fun and light, and I genuinely care about helping athletes become more confident and consistent.
If your athlete already puts in the work physically but struggles with nerves, overthinking, inconsistency, or performing below their potential when the moment gets big, that's exactly what I help with. The mental side of the game is trainable. Most athletes have just never been shown how.
