About Me:

As a former track and field athlete specializing in the 100M, 200M, and 4x100 relays, I understand the dedication required to balance high school, training, and work before heading home. I have a strong desire to give my best every day. Having not been born in America, I faced the challenge of being bullied in school, which motivated me to join the track and field team to channel that energy into performance on the track.

I must admit that I won many of my competitions, but I still remember narrowly missing victory in the 100M final at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia by just 0.01 seconds. Despite that close call, I never gave up. I continued my journey into college and beyond, where I have focused on motivating and encouraging young athletes. Through my experiences, I have learned that the mental aspect of sports is just as important as physical stamina.

I empower athletes to elevate their game by integrating evidence-based training with a comprehensive approach and plan that enhances their physical abilities, mental resilience, and daily habits. Drawing on my experience as a registered nurse, I prioritize safe techniques and teach effective injury prevention strategies alongside healthy routines for optimal sleep, hydration, and recovery. With a focus on mental health, I guide athletes in cultivating confidence, emotional regulation, focus, and resilience, equipping them to thrive under pressure and perform at their best. Through tailored skill development, encouraging coaching, and unwavering support, I help each athlete become stronger, think strategically, and compete with a clear sense of purpose.

My mission goes beyond the present moment; I empower athletes to adopt injury-prevention habits and cultivate a strong growth mindset that positively impacts both their athletic pursuits and daily life. We start with a plan and vision of your need and focus on improving your performance. Each athlete receives unwavering support, comprehensive structure, and genuine belief in their abilities, enabling them to unlock their true potential and take pride in every step of their journey. By addressing the inner dialogue and curbing negative self-talk, you can achieve greatness in any sport you pursue. There are no limits to what you can accomplish!

Career summary and accomplishments:

With over 15 years of dedicated experience as a registered nurse, primarily in the high-pressure emergency room environment, I have cultivated a strong foundation in healthcare. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing through full-time study, all while gaining valuable hands-on experience as an Emergency Room technician. Committed to advancing my expertise, I returned to school while working full-time and achieved Summa Cum Laude honors in Clinical Mental Health Counseling last year.

This journey was undeniably challenging, filled with moments of stress, but my unwavering determination to realize my dream fueled my resilience. I proved to myself that with focus and perseverance, I could overcome any distraction and achieve my goals.

My brother was truly the best coach I could have asked for! He really got how important it was for me to overcome challenges and give it my all. I was super competitive (maybe a bit too much at times!), and I always wanted to win.

But I also knew that I had to put in the effort, both mentally and physically, even on days when we didn’t have track practice.

I bring a powerful combination of expertise as a registered nurse, a mental health counseling professional, and a committed track and field coach. My in-depth understanding of the body, the mind's responses to pressure, and the optimal growth of young athletes allows me to excel in my role.

I firmly prioritize safety, proper technique, emotional well-being, and confidence-building alongside athletic performance. My coaching style is both supportive and structured, rooted in proven, evidence-based practices that empower athletes to feel capable, motivated, and proud of their achievements. I also incorporate humor and laughter to cultivate an enjoyable environment and foster camaraderie.

Ultimately, I am dedicated to developing the whole person, whether a child, pre-teen, teenager, or adult, not just their speed or strength. I focus on cultivating resilience, a positive mindset, and a lifelong passion for the sport.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
