Summary of Career and Accomplishments
I had the opportunity to play for the Los Angeles Blues in the USL from 2007 to 2010, where I gained extensive exposure to high-level professional training, development, and recovery. Before my time in the USL, I captained Santa Monica United, which allowed me to take on a leadership role, including running training sessions. Concurrently, I was also training in Jiu Jitsu, and after retiring from professional soccer, I progressed through the Jiu Jitsu ranks. This advancement provided me with the unique opportunity to run classes for about four years, during which I also taught Jiu Jitsu to youths at the Hawthorne Recreational Center. Throughout this period, I maintained a consistent daily regimen of soccer and fitness training, which I integrated into the sessions I led. I also mentored several young athletes, some of whom went on to achieve black belt status and now run their own studios.
Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
I have a great deal of respect to my coach, Luis Dos Santos, who played for the Brazilian professional club São Paulo FC. He helped me uncover and refine my natural abilities, while also providing technical guidance to improve the weaker areas of my game. Under his guidance, I learned to lead both on the field and to carry that same level of respect and discipline off the pitch.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
I am a NASM certified personal trainer enabling me to apply the latest fitness and performance training techniques ensuring that safety is always a top priority at all levels. I provide well-rounded, professional coaching that not only improves performance technique but also the development of character and confidence - An emphasis on technique from an early age lays the groundwork for long-term development. I take a personalized approach to coaching, recognizing that every athlete is unique. My goal is to help each player improve their skills while also focusing on their overall development, including strength, agility, and injury prevention.

How can you help someone improve their game?
Based on my experiences, I create customized training programs that cater to each athlete's unique strengths and weaknesses, much like my coach did for me. This ensures they receive focused instruction that aligns with their individual goals, whether they are beginners or aspiring professionals. I believe that developing technique and touch, both on and off the ball, is crucial for success in soccer. This development creates awareness, allowing us to train proprioceptively and understand how to maneuver with the ball while keeping our vision and mind attuned to the external environment. I emphasize building mental resilience and confidence, equipping athletes with the psychological skills necessary to perform under pressure and navigate challenges both on and off the pitch.

A typical training session is customized to each athlete's specific aspirations. After we define those goals, I create a comprehensive workout plan that also incorporates the Optimum Performance Training model, ensuring a well-rounded approach to their development.
