Being a Division 1 Quarterback didn’t come naturally to me. I grew up a chubby kid who played Offensive Line. When I was given the opportunity to play Quarterback at the age of 14 I completely immersed myself in every type of training in order to improve as much as possible. I’ve spent over 10 years studying human movement science and how it translates to different athletics. When I truly began to see improvement in my game is when I started training like an athlete and not like a body builder. The training I expose my athletes to is meant to directly correlate to game day situations on the field or court. I train my athletes to be as strong as possible in every plane of motion. Through working with my athlete, together we combine strength, power, balance, speed, flexibility, and mobility training into a personalized plan to make each individual reach their highest potential!

About Me:

I played Quarterback at 4 different high schools, winning state recognized awards my Sophomore, Junior, and Senior year. After high school I went the JUCO route and attended Monroe College in New York where I would go on to set career records in Yards, Touchdowns, and Completions as well as finishing top 10 in the country in these categories 2 years in a row (Top 3 in 2023). After 2 years at Monroe College I accepted a Division 1 Scholarship to Hampton University before having to retire due to health issues.

How I can help you improve your game:

I can help someone improve their game by exposing them to drills and training that will most accurately represent game like situations. I know that muscles must be strengthened in order to move most efficiently in every plane of motion and I know what mental situations must be trained in order to maximize an athletes full potential beyond the physical realm. Through field work, weight training, and mental development I know that your athlete will see great improvements from their time with me.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

All training sessions are personalized. My first assessment will be to see the goals of the client as well as basic training to see what areas I believe the athlete needs development in. All sessions will start with a warm up before moving to physical drills. Drills will progress from basic to more complex, making sure to hit a variety of different drills to meet the different demands of the games. Most sessions will have mental drill and eye training which will improve reaction time. All sessions will be started and finished with a video of the athlete to allow for reflection and more times then not I will assign small homework assignments to maximize potential.

Career summary and accomplishments:

I’ve been a Personal Trainer for over 5 years now, training clients with all different needs. I’ve designed programs for athletes, elders, youth, etc. I’ve trained Quarterbacks as well as Basketball players but being a student athlete myself I never had time to make it a full time job. Now that I’m retired I’m delicates to helping others achieve their physical goals. I know that my personal experience with athletics and training will correlate to meet the needs of any client.

Best coach I ever had:

The best Coach I’ve get had was my Junior College Coach Kevin Pulley. I think the most important thing as a coach is to establish a relationship of trust with your players that goes deeper than the field or the court. Coach Pulley made me believe in myself and the confidence he instilled in me showed in my game. Coach Pulley earned everyone’s respect without demanding it and I think it brought a comfort to the team that allowed us to be as close as possible.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

Athletes and Parents should know that I’ve been through this process and experienced it first hand. I know what it’s like to be an athlete and as a coach I’m here to cater to the needs of my clients. I don’t force my clients to conform to my programs and ways of playing the game, but rather personalize programs to athletes in order to maximize their strengths and elevate their weaknesses. I’ve spent years studying Human Movement Science and the programs your athlete will be put through will maximize strength needs that are specific to their sport.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
