About Me:

My journey in athletics began with a deep-rooted passion for soccer, where I played competitively throughout my youth coupled with competing as a track runner. This experience fueled my love for the sport but also ignited my passion for coaching.

Building on my soccer background, I transitioned into a role as a youth athletic instructor, teaching various sports to children aged 5-12. I later served as a private assistant soccer coach for athletes aged 14-18, where I honed my coaching skills and further developed my passion for guiding young athletes.

I am a board member of Penn States' Girl Gains chapter, leading private group strength training sessions with fellow chair members. Our mission is to empower women in fitness, regardless of their experience level. I am also a certified nutrition coach and personal trainer, via the National Academy of Sports Medicine

How I can help you improve your game:

Individualized Training Plans: I assess each athlete's unique strengths, weaknesses, and goals to create tailored training programs that focus on skill development, conditioning, and injury prevention.

Holistic Development: Beyond technical skills, I emphasize the importance of mental resilience and psychological endurance. I incorporate mindset training to help athletes develop a competitive edge and the ability to push through challenges.

Technical Skills Enhancement: I provide targeted drills and exercises that refine specific skills relevant to the athlete’s sport, ensuring they become more proficient and confident in their abilities.

Cognitive and Agility Training: I integrate exercises that improve cognitive function and agility, helping athletes make quicker decisions and react effectively during games.

Injury Prevention Focus: My background in injury prevention allows me to teach athletes proper techniques and conditioning methods that minimize the risk of injuries, a focus on strength training which ensures athletes are resistant to injury

Supportive Environment: I foster a positive and relatable atmosphere, making it easier for athletes to communicate their challenges and push themselves beyond their limits.

Continuous Feedback: I provide constructive feedback and regular assessments to track progress, ensuring athletes remain motivated and aware of their development.

Career summary and accomplishments:

My journey began as a youth athletic instructor, where I taught basketball, tennis, and flag football to children aged 5-12. This experience honed my ability to engage young athletes and instill a love for sports. I later served as a private assistant soccer coach for athletes aged 14-18, where I further developed my coaching skills and fostered a competitive mindset among players. Currently, I am a board member of PSU Girl Gains, leading private group strength training sessions focused on empowering women in fitness. My experience, combined with my CPR certification and various training for working with children, equips me to create a supportive and relatable environment where young athletes can thrive.

Best coach I ever had:

The best coach I’ve ever had is former USMNT Micah Cooks. He taught me that while technique is essential, it’s just the beginning of what makes an athlete truly great. Micah encouraged me to dig deeper than just skill level and emphasized the importance of psychological endurance and maintaining athletic amnesia. He instilled in me the mentality to push through challenges and keep striving until the final whistle, reinforcing the idea that true resilience sets exceptional athletes apart. His guidance has had a lasting impact on my approach to both coaching and life.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

Athletes and parents should know that I bring extensive experience working with kids, along with CPR certification and various training tailored to child development. I believe my age has been an asset in creating an environment where young athletes feel comfortable pushing themselves, fostering a sense of relatability and trust.

What sets me apart as a trainer is my holistic approach to fitness. While many trainers focus on one specific aspect, I strive to improve and perfect all dimensions of fitness. My skill set equips me with unique tools to help athletes reach their full potential, addressing not only their physical abilities but also their mental resilience and overall well-being. I am committed to providing a unique and different training experience that empowers young athletes to thrive in sports and life.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.

Our coaches are open to helping athletes of any age and skill level. Please message your desired coach to ensure their skillset fits your needs.

AU was created by former collegiate and professional athletes. We understand the benefits of training with a private coach. It develops discipline, boosts confidence, and provides an undeniable advantage - whether you are just learning the game or looking to earn a college scholarship. All AU coaches are required to pass a thorough onboarding process and we proudly showcase a 10% acceptance rate, so you can trust you're training with the best.

At the end of the day, our mission is to provide athletes with better opportunities to succeed through coaching. You won't find a platform, and group of dedicated specialists, more excited to help you achieve your athletic goals!
