Athletic Background
Summary of Career and Accomplishments
Besides being both a personal trainer and and Athletic Trainer/ATC; I still regulary body build and train jujitsu currently at a purple belt. I've competed in both competitions in the past finishing in top 3 but still having high aspirtations to win 1st place. 4 year wrestler in High School and also ran track in the 800m and 400m. I live by how I train people and treat everyone as an individual.
Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
My jujitsu trainer/coach Master Cho: He's been training me in jujitsu on and off since I was 20 years old. When I train with him he always asks me whether win or lose in training... "Did you use the scripture"? He is a man of GOD, and I aspire to be able to teach how he teaches incorporating what all athletes need to embody: Phillipeans 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strenghtens me".
What should athletes and parents know about you?
If one trains hard , metaphorically one can only get to 99 overall out of perfection being 100. Only ONE can be perfect and get to 100, but it is our choice to learn how to embody that SPIRIT; so that even if we get to 99 overall.... Its not us who needs to go into battle! My goal is to get one as close to 99 overall as possible, but that comes from accepting guidance and doing what one needs to do outside of training!! Training never stops outsided of the gym whether mental or physical. There is always something to do!
Coaching Background
Summary of Coaching Background
Have been training clients getting individuals whether young or older in better overall shape, increasing there strength and conditioning since 2009. I've trained and worked with individuals from the high school level to working with pro athletes.
How can you help someone improve their game?
I excell at increasing ones specific strength and conditioning. If there are any muscle imbalances or injury preventing one from performing at their maximal, I can rehab and come up with prehab movements to help any one move more opimal. One is only as good as their recovery. Recovery allows one to use the strength created/built in the gym and the skills already born with while decreasing injury.
What does a typical training session look like?
Dynamic warmup and muscle engagement based on workout for the day. The workout for the day. Followed by base recovery and any prehab any may need based on personal deficits if any is present.
