Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard!
Proven track record of raising, coaching and training D1 and professional athletes. Every athlete is different and I enjoy the journey of working with each athlete to maximize their potential. It's not just about working hard it's also about working smart. Let's set up a time to meet and make sure our goals align. Thank you and be well!
I think a good coach analyzes the players game. He studies their strengths and weaknesses. At that point, a coach can begin to break down the players weaknesses and constructively begin to improve it. If the player is poor in the D zone then it gets addressed.
This depends on the time of year. There is no such thing as typical hockey training session except there will be skating and skating and more skating. Pucks are a luxury. But to be more specific, conditioning is crucial bc can't do much w/o it... then I always start with breaking the puck out of my D zone. Breakouts are crucial! Then we go to forechecking and offensive zone coverage.
Lacrosse wise- it's about stick skills and having two hands. I can shut down any one handed player but once you have two hands then you become dangerous. So I am big on stick skills to create that dangerous two handed player. All the fancy set plays in the world don't work if you can't catch and throw with TWO hands.
After my playing career, I began coaching lacrosse and hockey at the youth level. I taught the basics and built a foundation of strong fundamentals regardless of which sport I was coaching. I transitioned from town sports into Select traveling teams. In hockey, I coached for many Select teams from Mites to Bantams. Eventually coached Middle school hockey teams and culminated with coaching High School hockey.
Similar path in lax, as we travelled up and down the East Coast playing in tournaments in Long Island, Maryland and New Jersey. Our teams won our fair share of tournaments and always played top notch competition. I’ve coached High School and Select sports. It’s a pleasure to be associated with organizations like the Vipers, Warriors, and Jr. Bruins in hockey and 3D, Twisters, and Laxachusetts in lacrosse. My High Schools teams in Lynnfield, St. John's Prep, Concord and Stoneham were always well coached and played the game with respect.
Great question! Sometimes the best coaches are the ones that push us the hardest . For me, it was a Russian hockey coach that used to ride me up and down the ice constantly pushing me. I disliked him immensely at the time and thought he was "picking on me." But later on I realized he saw my potential and wouldn't let me fail. He pushed me to get every ounce out of me. I didn't know I had that capability but he believed in me. And he put me in the best position to be successful. And that is what a great coach does in my opinion. He squeezes each player and gets every ounce out of their ability. And he believes in them while always putting his players in the best position to be successful!!
I enjoy the process. This is a marathon not a sprint. It takes time and dedication. I'm look for the right attitude and work ethic in my students. There isn't any magic pill or potion. I am 100% committed to my players. I have the knowledge and experience to get them where they need to be. I have done it myself and helped many athletes achieve their dreams. It will take hard work and dedication. I promise to work my tail off but you need to buy in 100% as well. I am competitive. Let's make this happen together and enjoy the ride!

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.
Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
