I have been playing soccer since I was in elementary school for travel and eventually professional soccer teams in high school. Every since I learned to play soccer, I have wanted to coach sports when I was out of college. I recently graduated with a bachelor's in mechanical engineering and work at PPL Electric Utilities. I coach mainly soccer, football, or frisbee. I am proficient with all sports but excel mainly in soccer. My best advice I can offer in addition to teaching skills is the strategies behind the sports. I heavily encourage recording training and games and having athletes watch their own film to understand visually where they are making mistakes and how to fix them. Aside from personal adjustments in mechanics, it is important to understand the overall strategy of a sport and how that should translate into team play. I can be flexible about coaching sessions, as long as they are during weekday nights at 5:30pm or later! Please feel free to reach out with any questions!

Get to know Coach Kaleb

About Me:

I played competitive travel soccer from the age of 6 to age 15. At 15 I began playing with a national showcase soccer team that prepared players to go to tournaments at colleges across the east coast for scouting. During college I focused on my engineering studies and dropped my soccer career down to recreational with the club soccer and club frisbee team at Messiah University during college.

I have played football more recreationally than professionally, but helped coach both soccer and football in high school for Cheltenham township.

How I can help you improve your game:

The best way I can help an athlete improve their game is by starting with a preliminary training session that I would treat similarly to a tryout for a sports team. I would make notes about strengths and weaknesses of the player(s) I am training so that I could better tailor future practices to hit on their weaknesses and impress upon their strengths. It is hugely important for me to understand the player as best as possible early on so I can give them the best help to their game during each training session.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

A typical training session would start with some laps and dynamics stretching to warm-up for the first fifteen minutes. After a warm-up there would be a series of basic mechanics drills that are repeated each practice to instill the basic skills into the athlete. After the basic drills, there would be targeted training drills I have prepared to help grow specific areas in the athlete for nearly the remainder of the session. For the last ten minutes, I would talk to the athlete about their training session, give them stuff to work on and do outside of training, and give them some help with sports strategy for their team play.

Career summary and accomplishments:

Referee for soccer for 2 years Coached soccer for 2 years Coached football for 1 year

Best coach I ever had:

The best coach I ever had was my middle school soccer coach who impressed upon me the mentality that being early to practice was "on time" and being on time to practice was "late." It is important to get to every practice, game, or training session early to warm-up and ready your body ahead of time so you can focus on the skills and practice during the actual practice or focus on playing your hardest in a game.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

Athletes and parents should know that I am a very encouraging person, but will ensure that I impress upon athletes that practice outside of training is a must if they want to see success and better results. I will spend a decent amount of time talking to the athletes about plans to help improve their skills on their own and how they can improve their strategy on the field of play. The three keys to success in all sports is a good understanding of the game, being in shape for your sport, and building your skills.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.

Our coaches are open to helping athletes of any age and skill level. Please message your desired coach to ensure their skillset fits your needs.
