Get to know Coach Justin

About Me:

I am a professional quarterback with five years of playing experience and a lifelong commitment to developing both elite athletes and high-quality people. My journey began as an overlooked high school quarterback who had to take ownership of his own development, a path that shaped my belief in discipline, curiosity, and accountability through sport. I went on to become a Hall of Fame quarterback at Creekside Christian Academy, earn multiple college offers, and later help launch the football program at Texas Wesleyan University, where I competed over four seasons while earning two degrees, including an MBA. After college, I trained under renowned biomechanist, Tom House, and competed professionally across multiple leagues, earning Rookie of the Year honors, leading professional leagues in passing, and receiving NFL, CFL, and spring-league workout opportunities. Today, I bring that experience into coaching as a certified Tom House Sports throwing coach and biomechanist, certified personal trainer, strength and conditioning coach, nutritionist, and energy recovery specialist. My mission is to use sport as a vehicle to develop confident, disciplined, and resilient athletes—equipping them not only to perform at a high level, but to grow into leaders who carry these lessons far beyond the field.

How I can help you improve your game:

Using QB mechanics analysis tools and a STAT Test, I will reveal weak links and inefficiencies in mechanics, functional strength, diet/nutrition/hydration, and mental/emotional management. We will use Tom House's hall of fame training model to improve your mechanics, functional strength, game-specific movements, football IQ and more.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

The first session with me will be a STAT Test. This is the athlete's evaluation that will reveal point-in-time capacity for distance and accuracy, but also will reveal weak links in functional strength and arm health. These results will shape the personally adaptive program to your specific needs. Every session after that will be a 2-hour session where we will go through our block warm-ups, training, arm care, neurological pathway patterning and finish each session with quarterback specific, game-like drills.

Career summary and accomplishments:

My football journey has been shaped by resilience, curiosity, and a deep respect for the role sports play in developing people. As an overlooked quarterback prospect at Dutchtown High School in Hampton, Georgia, I learned early how to take ownership of my growth—studying the position independently and teaching myself how to improve before formal training was accessible. That self-driven foundation led me to transfer to Creekside Christian Academy, where I began structured quarterback development under coaches within the QB Takeover organization, including Quincy Avery and Sean McEvoy. At Creekside Christian, I served as the starting quarterback for two seasons, leading the program to two state playoff appearances. During that time, I set both single-season and career passing records and was later inducted into the Creekside Christian Academy Sports Hall of Fame in 2017. I earned scholarship offers from multiple Division I and Division II programs and walk-on opportunities at the Power Five level. A broken left collarbone during my senior season ultimately altered my recruiting trajectory and resulted in the withdrawal of Division I scholarship offers, reinforcing the importance of adaptability and perspective in an athlete’s journey. I chose Texas Wesleyan University, joining the inaugural football roster as the program returned after a 75-year hiatus. Over four and a half years, I balanced competition between starting and developmental roles while earning two degrees, including an MBA. In 21 games played (15 starts), I accumulated 2,869 passing yards, 26 touchdowns, 484 rushing yards, and 6 rushing touchdowns—experiences that taught me leadership, humility, and the value of serving a team in any role. Following college, I pursued professional football by training under renowned biomechanist Tom House, personal coach to quarterbacks such as Tom Brady and Drew Brees. In 2021, I led all arena leagues in passing statistics with the Peach State Cats and was named Rookie of the Year. That season opened the door to my first NFL workout with the Atlanta Falcons, providing firsthand exposure to NFL systems and expectations. From 2022 through 2025, I continued my professional career across multiple leagues, including the Indoor Football League, Champions Indoor Football, National Arena League, Arena Football League, and the International Football Alliance. I competed with teams across the country, earned additional NFL, CFL, UFL/USFL/XFL, and NFL workout opportunities—including with the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks—and represented Team America internationally. These experiences allowed me to operate in a wide range of offensive systems, coaching environments, and locker rooms. More than statistics or titles, my career has given me perspective. I understand the uncertainty, adversity, and discipline required to pursue excellence in sport. That lived experience allows me to coach with empathy, clarity, and purpose—helping athletes not only chase performance goals, but develop the habits, confidence, and character needed to succeed well beyond the game.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

My goal as a coach goes far beyond developing better athletes. I aim to help develop great people. I treat every athlete with the same care, respect, and intention I would give a Hall of Famer, because each one matters. Sports remain one of the last powerful avenues we have to build discipline, confidence, accountability, and character, and I take that responsibility seriously. Every session is designed to give athletes clarity, belief, and at least one new way to improve—on the field and in life. We will work hard, because growth is simple to understand but difficult to repeat consistently, and we’ll have fun embracing that challenge together. My lifelong mission with every athlete is to inform, instruct, and inspire—so they gain the confidence, ownership, and ignition to become their own best coach in pursuit of their process, their purpose, and their dreams.
