Building championship players through leadership, development, and purpose.
I am a high school head baseball coach with more than 20 years of coaching experience, complemented by professional scouting at the MLB and collegiate levels. My passion is developing student-athletes into confident, disciplined young men through a culture of accountability, hard work, and character. I combine traditional baseball fundamentals with modern player development, analytics, and individualized coaching to help every player maximize their potential. My goal is to prepare athletes not only to compete at the next level, but to become leaders in the classroom, on the field, and in their communities.
Every player has the ability to improve with the right instruction, consistent effort, and a personalized development plan. My coaching focuses on identifying each athlete’s strengths while addressing the areas that will have the greatest impact on their performance.
I can help you:
* Develop sound hitting, pitching, fielding, and throwing fundamentals.
* Increase baseball IQ through situational awareness and game strategy.
* Improve pitching mechanics, velocity, command, arm care, and pitch design.
* Build confidence, mental toughness, and consistency under pressure.
* Create individualized training plans based on your goals and current skill level.
* Use modern technology and analytics to measure progress and maximize development.
* Prepare for high school, college, and professional opportunities through honest evaluations and recruiting guidance.
As both a coach and professional scout, I understand what coaches and organizations look for beyond statistics. My goal is to help every athlete become a complete player—physically, mentally, and emotionally—while developing the character, work ethic, and leadership skills that lead to long-term success on and off the field.
Train with purpose. Compete with confidence. Reach your potential.
Every training session is designed around the individual athlete’s goals, age, and skill level. My objective is to create a high-energy, game-like environment that promotes measurable improvement.
A typical session includes:
* Dynamic Warm-Up & Arm Care – Proper movement preparation, mobility, and injury prevention.
* Fundamental Review – Reinforcing sound mechanics and correcting inefficiencies.
* Skill Development – Position-specific instruction in hitting, pitching, fielding, catching, or throwing.
* Game Situations – Applying skills through realistic drills that build baseball IQ and decision-making.
* Technology & Feedback – When available, using video analysis and performance data to provide immediate, objective feedback.
* Mental Performance – Developing confidence, routines, focus, and an approach to competing under pressure.
* Individual Development Plan – Each session concludes with feedback, key takeaways, and a customized plan for continued improvement between lessons.
My goal is for every athlete to leave each session having improved their skills, gained confidence, and developed a clear understanding of what it takes to succeed at the next level. Every workout is purposeful, challenging, and tailored to maximize each player’s potential.
With over 20 years of experience in baseball coaching, player development, and scouting, I have dedicated my career to helping athletes reach their full potential both on and off the field. My experience includes serving as a high school coach, evaluating talent through scouting, developing players’ skills, and creating a positive, competitive culture built on accountability, preparation, and confidence.
Throughout my coaching career, I have worked with players at multiple levels, focusing on fundamentals, baseball IQ, mechanics, mental approach, and the habits needed to succeed. I have a strong understanding of the recruiting process, player development pathways, and what it takes to prepare athletes for the next level.
As a coach and mentor, I take pride in building relationships with players and families while providing instruction that is individualized, data-driven, and focused on long-term growth. My personal experience supporting my son’s journey as a collegiate pitcher at Clarion University has further strengthened my understanding of the commitment, preparation, and challenges athletes face as they transition to college baseball.
My coaching philosophy centers around developing complete players—athletes who are confident, disciplined, coachable, and prepared for success beyond the game.
The best coach I ever had was someone who understood that coaching was about much more than teaching the game. They held me accountable, pushed me to be better every day, and helped me develop the discipline, confidence, and mindset needed to succeed. They taught me the importance of preparation, teamwork, resilience, and doing things the right way even when no one was watching.
The biggest lesson I took from that coach was that great coaches don’t just build better athletes—they build better people. That approach has shaped my own coaching philosophy and continues to influence how I mentor and develop players today.
Players and parents should know that I am committed to developing the complete athlete and person. With over 20 years of coaching experience, I bring a passion for teaching the game, building confidence, and helping players reach their goals through proper instruction, hard work, and accountability.
I believe every player is unique, and my approach is centered around understanding each athlete’s strengths, areas for improvement, and individual goals. My focus is not only on improving mechanics and baseball skills, but also on developing the mindset, discipline, and habits required to succeed at the next level.
Parents can expect open communication, honesty, and a coach who truly cares about their child’s growth. My goal is to create an environment where players feel challenged, supported, and motivated to become the best version of themselves—both on and off the field.
