Athletic Background
Summary of Career and Accomplishments
I started playing soccer when I was 3 years old and continued my athletic career through high school and college. I played forward and defense and was a first team all-star my junior and senior years of high school. After high school I played competitively at the division one level at Robert Morris University. Upon graduation, I became a coach at my local girls soccer program.
Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
The best coach I ever had was my travel coach from the ages of 15-18. He allowed me to grow my game on and off the field for several years while challenging me from all perspectives. He pushed me to be the best player I could be while supporting me. I had the privilege to coach alongside him and learn from him the last two years.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
I have played and coached in various environments that have always challenged me. I’ve been able to see and learn the game from a player perspective, but also a coaching perspective. I have loved the game of soccer all my life and want to continue to share that love and passion with other players.
Coaching Background
Summary of Coaching Background
I was an assistant coach for a local girls program at the U10 and U18 ages before becoming a head coach the following year for U11. I continued as an assistant coach for the U18 team and was the assistant for the Women’s U23 professional second team.
How can you help someone improve their game?
Through my sessions, I can help players with improve their skill development. This will be done through various ball controlling exercises, passing and shooting drills, and techniques working on first touch. Players will also have the ability to improve their tactical awareness with game like scenarios and positioning practice.
What does a typical training session look like?
A typical training session will look differently for every player. Each session will have a main topic that would be focused around specifics to that player. I like to start off with the fundamentals of the game and get as many touches on the ball as possible. From there is when the session would get broken down into specific drills centered on the individual player. I end my sessions with a small game that overviews what was just learned within the hour.
