About Me:

I am a performance-focused coach, mentor, and mental performance specialist with more than 25 years of experience helping athletes break through barriers and elevate their competitive potential. My passion for athletics began early and has continued through every stage of my life as both an athlete and coach.

I am a USSF Certified Soccer Referee and former multi-sport athlete with 14 years of competitive softball experience, 12 years of cheerleading, and collegiate cross-country competition experience. In adulthood, I have continued competing through high-level adult leagues in ultimate frisbee, kickball, and softball, giving me firsthand understanding of the mindset, resilience, and discipline required to compete across different environments and stages of life.

My coaching background spans youth athletes through professionally paid competitors across basketball, track and field, baseball, soccer, and swimming. I specialize in helping highly competitive athletes remove the mental blocks that hold them back from performing at their highest level. My approach centers on developing confidence, resilience, focus, and sustainable performance habits that create lasting impact both in competition and in life.

In addition to athletics, I am a licensed social worker in multiple states, an adjunct faculty member since 2020, and beginning a Graduate Assistantship at Georgia Southern University in Fall 2026 while pursuing a second master’s degree in Kinesiology. I hold an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master of Social Work degree, allowing me to blend mental performance strategies with evidence-based understanding of human behavior, motivation, and development.

I work with athletes who are ready to grow, evolve, and compete at a higher level. My focus is on competitors who are thinking beyond today; athletes who are dreaming bigger, planning for their future, and willing to implement small intentional changes that create major breakthroughs in performance. I believe true transformation happens when athletes commit to consistent growth, trust the process, and learn how to unlock the mindset needed to perform without limits.

How I can help you improve your game:

My background uniquely positions me to connect with, develop, and elevate athletes at every level of competition. As both a lifelong multi-sport athlete and experienced coach, I understand the physical, emotional, and mental demands that come with high-performance environments. My work combines over 25 years of athlete development experience with advanced education in psychology, social work, and kinesiology, allowing me to approach performance from both a strategic and human-centered perspective.

I specialize in helping highly competitive athletes break through mental barriers that limit confidence, consistency, and elite performance. Having coached athletes from youth levels through professionally paid competitors, I understand how to meet athletes where they are while helping them reach where they want to go. My experience as a USSF Certified Soccer Referee, multi-sport coach, adjunct faculty member, and graduate-level kinesiology student gives me a well-rounded understanding of athlete performance, leadership, communication, and development.

What makes me an especially strong fit is my ability to combine competitive experience, evidence-based mental performance strategies, and relationship-centered coaching to create meaningful, measurable growth. I am passionate about working with athletes who are ready to think bigger, compete harder, and intentionally develop the mindset required for long-term success both on and off the field.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

A typical session is individualized to meet each athlete where they are mentally, emotionally, and competitively. Sessions often include performance reflection, mindset evaluation, goal setting, and film analysis to identify both strengths and mental barriers impacting performance. Together, we strategically break down moments where confidence, focus, pressure, or adversity affect execution and develop practical tools athletes can immediately apply in competition. My approach is collaborative, athlete-centered, and focused on creating sustainable mental growth that translates directly into performance improvement.

Career summary and accomplishments:

My coaching career includes a proven record of helping athletes and teams achieve high-level competitive success across multiple sports and performance environments. In track and field, I have coached athletes to multiple state and local records and medal finishes in hurdles, 50m, 100m, and mile events, as well as leading both men’s and women’s 4x100 relay teams to gold medal performances. I have supported elite high school wrestlers in winning state-level competitions, qualifying for national tournaments, and earning all-state honors, and have contributed to swim and dive programs producing state finalists. In baseball, I have coached travel athletes across all positions, helping multiple players earn championship rings, while also working with competitive programs that emphasize both skill development and high-performance execution.

As a former collegiate cross-country athlete with top finishes, I also bring personal competitive experience in endurance sport, alongside years of participation and achievement in cheerleading, softball, and field positions such as center field. Across all sports, my focus has consistently been on performance development and helping athletes translate training into results under pressure.

In addition to athletic performance, I bring extensive experience in mental health and behavioral intervention, working with individuals navigating mental blocks that impact both occupational functioning and elite athletic performance. This dual background allows me to integrate clinical insight with performance coaching, helping athletes overcome internal barriers, strengthen resilience, and perform at their highest level when it matters most.

Best coach I ever had:

The greatest coaches I have ever had have been my elite teammates. Throughout my athletic journey, I have learned as much from being surrounded by high-performing peers as I have from any formal coaching environment. Training and competing alongside driven, disciplined, and highly skilled teammates created a constant standard of excellence that challenged me to elevate my own mindset, preparation, and execution.

My elite teammates provided real-time feedback, accountability, and modeling of what it means to compete with consistency under pressure. Their influence shaped how I understand performance, resilience, and the daily habits required to succeed at higher levels. In many ways, they became my most impactful coaches by demonstrating through action what excellence looks like and by pushing me to match and exceed that standard.

Because of this, I carry a deep belief that athletes are significantly shaped by the environments they are in, and that the people you train and compete with often become your most powerful source of growth and development.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

Parents and athletes should know that my approach is centered on helping competitors build strong minds as well as strong skills. I meet athletes where they are, taking time to understand their current challenges, mindset, and performance patterns before building a clear, individualized path for growth. My focus is not only on immediate performance improvement, but on developing long-term confidence, resilience, and consistency under pressure.

Athletes can expect a direct, supportive, and structured environment where mental barriers are identified and addressed through practical strategies, reflection, and real-world application. I emphasize accountability and small, intentional changes that create measurable impact in both practice and competition. My goal is to help athletes perform with clarity, trust their training, and compete without being limited by fear, doubt, or inconsistency.

For parents, I bring a balanced perspective that integrates performance coaching with a strong understanding of mental health, development, and communication. I prioritize the whole athlete—ensuring that growth in sport also supports emotional well-being, motivation, and healthy identity formation. Above all, I am committed to helping athletes reach their potential in a way that is sustainable, empowering, and grounded in both discipline and support.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
