Former UCLA starter developing skilled, confident, game-ready football players.
I know what the next level demands because I have lived it as a four-star recruit, high school All-American, and starting defensive back at UCLA. Since my playing career, I have helped develop more than 1,200 athletes, including 53 NCAA and 35 NFL players, with three becoming NFL All-Pros. Credentials may open the door, but the ability to teach is what changes an athlete. I specialize in developing defensive backs, linebackers, and wide receivers through detailed position instruction, speed development, football IQ, and game-like competition. Every athlete receives a plan built around their position, experience, strengths, and areas for improvement. My standard is demanding, but my approach is personal. I explain the purpose behind every drill, correct athletes without tearing them down, and build the confidence needed to perform under pressure. I will believe in your athlete until they fully believe in themselves, while giving them the preparation and accountability required to turn that belief into performance.
I help defensive backs, linebackers, and wide receivers develop the technical, physical, and mental tools needed to perform with confidence. Training is built around the athlete’s position, current ability, goals, and areas that need the most improvement.
Defensive backs develop stance, footwork, transitions, leverage, coverage technique, route recognition, recovery skills, and ball production. Linebackers work on first-step reactions, run reads, pursuit angles, block avoidance, open-field movement, coverage drops, and tackling position. Wide receivers improve releases, route running, change of speed, separation, catching technique, body control, and attacking the football.
I also teach athletes how to understand the game instead of simply memorizing drills. We connect every movement to a real football situation so athletes learn what to do, why it works, and when to use it. The result is a more skilled, confident, and intelligent player who is better prepared to perform under pressure.
Each session begins with a brief conversation about the athlete’s goals and current needs, followed by a dynamic warmup focused on mobility, coordination, movement quality, and sprint preparation. We then transition into footwork, acceleration, deceleration, change of direction, and position-specific movement.
The main portion of the session focuses on the athlete’s position and individual development plan. I explain the purpose of each technique, demonstrate it, break it down at a controlled speed, and gradually progress the athlete into full-speed repetitions. Once the technique is established, we apply it through reactive drills, game-like situations, and competitive work.
I coach every repetition and provide direct, understandable feedback. I do not run athletes through drills simply to make them tired. Every activity must have a purpose and transfer to the field. We finish by reviewing what improved, identifying the next area of focus, and giving the athlete specific coaching points to practice independently.
I was a four-star defensive back and high school All-American before earning a football scholarship to UCLA. I became a starting defensive back for the Bruins while completing my bachelor’s degree in Political Science and graduating with honors.
Since beginning my coaching and performance-training career in 2019, I have helped develop more than 1,200 athletes from the youth level through high school, college, and professional football. My experience includes working with 53 NCAA athletes and 35 NFL players, including NFL All-Pros Jaylon Johnson, Daron Bland, and Keisean Nixon.
My professional development includes collegiate strength and conditioning experience at the University of Utah, NFL Combine preparation at Exos, youth and high school football, and national 7-on-7. These experiences have allowed me to study athletic development from several perspectives and build a coaching approach that combines position technique, performance training, football intelligence, confidence, and mentorship.
The best coach I ever had was Coach Soto because he understood something I now carry into my own coaching: athletes perform differently when they know their coach truly sees them.
When I was young, Coach Soto would tap me on the chest three times before a play. It was a small gesture, but it made me feel trusted, prepared, and believed in. He made football fun while still challenging me to improve, and he prepared me for opportunities I could not yet see for myself.
I may not remember every drill or every play he taught me, but I remember how he made me feel. That is the standard I want to carry forward. Coach Soto showed me that great coaching is more than transferring knowledge. It is recognizing potential, building trust, demanding growth, and helping an athlete believe they are capable of more.
When you train with me, you are not simply purchasing an hour of drills. You are trusting me with a part of your athlete’s development, and I take that responsibility seriously.
I will learn who your athlete is, not just what position they play. I want to understand how they learn, what motivates them, where they lack confidence, and what may be preventing their ability from showing up consistently on the field. I will praise what is earned, correct what needs improvement, and always communicate honestly.
My sessions are demanding, detailed, and full of energy, but athletes will never be embarrassed for making a mistake. Mistakes give us information. We study them, correct them, and turn them into confidence through preparation and repetition.
I cannot promise instant results or shortcuts. I can promise that every drill will have a purpose, every correction will be intentional, and every athlete will be treated as someone worth investing in. I want athletes to leave me with better technique, a deeper understanding of football, and a stronger belief in what they can become.
