About Me:

As a former Level 10 gymnast, collegiate volleyball player, educator, and Certified Mental Performance Coach, I know that talent alone doesn't create success. The athletes who perform at their best are the ones who know how to respond when things don't go according to plan.

I work with athletes to build confidence, resilience, focus, and emotional control so they can perform under pressure and bounce back from mistakes. My coaching isn't about eliminating negative thoughts or avoiding setbacks. It's about giving athletes practical tools to navigate those moments with confidence and get back to competing at their best.

With more than 1,000 hours of coaching experience, I've worked with athletes across multiple sports, from club baseball players to state champion golfers. I combine my background as an athlete with 16 years in education to help athletes strengthen the mental side of performance while developing life skills that extend far beyond competition.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

Every session is personalized to the athlete's goals, sport, and current challenges. We meet once a week for one hour, giving you consistent support while allowing time to practice what you've learned between sessions. We start by reviewing recent performances, wins, and roadblocks, then identify one or two key mental skills to focus on. Through conversation, real game scenarios, and practical exercises, you'll develop tools you can immediately apply in practice and competition. Every session ends with a clear action plan, so you know exactly what to work on before we meet again. My goal is to make mental training just as practical and measurable as physical training.

Career summary and accomplishments:

Former Level 10 competitive gymnast and collegiate volleyball player with 16 years of experience in education and over 1,000 hours of mental performance coaching. Certified Mental Performance Coach and Gallup Certified CliftonStrengths Coach, specializing in helping athletes develop confidence, resilience, focus, and emotional control. I've worked with athletes across a variety of sports, including baseball, volleyball, golf, gymnastics, and football, helping them overcome mental barriers and perform with greater consistency. My coaching has supported athletes at every level, including contributing to a state championship golfer. I combine my athletic background, coaching expertise, and passion for developing young people to equip athletes with mental skills that elevate performance in competition and create success beyond sports.

Best coach I ever had:

The best coach I ever had was my confidence coach, Coach Tremain, during my time as the libero at Tarleton University. I was constantly overthinking my performance, especially on defense. Before every play, I found myself repeating, "Don't mess up." Of course, all my brain heard was, "Mess up."

Coach Tremain helped me recognize how my thoughts were impacting my performance and taught me how to replace fear with confidence and intention. Instead of getting stuck in my head, I learned how to trust my training, recover quickly from mistakes, and stay focused on the next play.

That experience changed the way I competed and ultimately shaped the coach I am today. It showed me that mental performance isn't about eliminating mistakes or negative thoughts. It's about knowing how to respond when they happen. Those lessons became part of my own muscle memory, and now I help athletes build that same resilience, confidence, and ability to perform under pressure.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

I'm a mom of three, including two teenagers, so I understand the unique challenges athletes and families face both on and off the field. I know there's a fine line between supporting teens and overwhelming them, and I've learned to connect with this age group in ways that help them feel seen, heard, and understood.

Parents often have the right advice, but sometimes it lands differently when it comes from a trusted coach outside the family. My role is to create a judgment-free space where athletes can be honest, build self-awareness, and develop the confidence to take ownership of their growth.

I believe the strongest coaching relationships are built on trust. I take time to truly get to know each athlete so I can meet them where they are and help them move beyond self-doubt, navigate adversity, and recognize what they're capable of. My goal is not only to help athletes perform at their best, but to equip them with the mindset and resilience they'll carry long after the game is over.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
