Get to know Jaiave

I am a laid back Coach but very intentional with the work we put in.

I believe it’s important to be trained by someone who has actually reached the level that athletes aspire to. As players who have competed at a high level, we know what coaches are looking for, what it takes to get to the next level, and the work required to stay there. I’ve been blessed to play the quarterback position at a high enough level to be able to attain Division 1 scholarships and even professional opportunities, and I want to pass that knowledge and experience on to the next generation. My goal is to help athletes develop the skills, confidence, and mindset needed to maximize their potential and achieve their own football goals.

About me

My faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of everything I do. I was blessed to play quarterback at the University of Louisiana before finishing my college career and earning my degree at East Texas A&M University. While my playing career was filled with injuries, God remained faithful through every season and taught me resilience, humility, and perseverance.

I’ve always had a passion for helping young athletes grow. My goal is to use the knowledge and experience I’ve gained to help players develop their skills, build confidence, and reach their full potential. Every athlete is different, and I love helping each one discover what makes them successful—not just on the field, but in life as well.

I feel like my journey through football has given me a blueprint that I’ve always wanted to pass on. I’ve always been very intentional with how I trained, and because of that, I’ve learned what to look for in a player and what actually helps them improve. My goal is to take everything I’ve learned through my own experiences and use it to help the next generation become the best players they can be.

Each session begins with a dynamic warm-up and throwing progression to prepare the body. From there, we’ll focus on footwork, throwing mechanics, and accuracy before moving into game-like drills that develop pocket presence, decision-making, and confidence. We’ll also spend time on the mental side of the position, including defensive recognition, coverages, reads, and football IQ. Every session is tailored to the athlete’s skill level and designed to help them become a more complete and efficient quarterback.

I was blessed to play quarterback at the University of Louisiana before finishing my college career and earning my degree at East Texas A&M University. Although my career was filled with injuries, I’m grateful that, when healthy, I was able to perform at a high level and earn collegiate and professional opportunities. Most recently, I had the privilege of helping lead a historically struggling program to its most winningest season and their first-ever playoff appearance. One statistical accomplishment I’m especially proud of was recording one of the most efficient passing performances in East Texas A&M history, completing 18 of 20 passes (90%) and three touchdowns. More than any statistic, I’m thankful for the journey, the lessons learned, and the opportunity God gave me to play the game.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to have played under Billy Napier, who had a big impact on my development as a quarterback. He taught me how to prepare the right way, understand the game at a deeper level, and approach the position with confidence and attention to detail. Those lessons have stayed with me throughout my career and continue to shape the way I train and mentor quarterbacks today.

I want every athlete I work with to know that I genuinely care about their growth. I love helping players improve, but I also know football isn’t everything. The relationships, discipline, and confidence you build through the game matter just as much. My goal is to help you reach your potential on the field while supporting you off of it too.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
