Career summary and accomplishments:

My football journey has been defined by perseverance, leadership, and a passion for developing athletes.

Coming out of high school in California, I earned Second Team All-State honors as a cornerback and was recognized as a three-star recruit. I continued my playing career at the junior college level before earning the opportunity to walk on at the University of Kansas. I later transferred to the University of Saint Mary, where I completed my collegiate career.

Following college, I declared for the NFL Draft. Although I was not selected, I continued pursuing my dream by playing three seasons in the Arena2 Football League. Those experiences gave me firsthand insight into what it takes to compete at every level of the game and helped shape the coaching philosophy I carry today.

My greatest passion has always been coaching and mentoring young athletes.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of coaching and developing players who have gone on to compete at the highest levels of football. Among them is Cam Skattebo, whom I coached during his Pop Warner years and who now plays for the New York Giants. I have also coached or competed against standout athletes from the Sacramento area such as DJ Johnson of the Carolina Panthers, Henry To’oTo’o of the Houston Texans, and T.J. Pasfea of the UFL. Watching these young men grow from talented local athletes into professional football players has reinforced my belief that great coaching extends far beyond wins and losses.

My coaching philosophy is built on three core principles, discipline, accountability, and relentless effort. I believe every athlete deserves a coach who challenges them to become the best version of themselves, not only as football players, but as leaders, teammates, and individuals.

Whether I’m working with youth athletes learning the fundamentals or advanced players preparing for college and professional opportunities, my mission remains the same: to develop complete athletes who compete with confidence, character, and purpose.

Football has opened doors throughout my life, and I consider it my responsibility to help open those same doors for the next generation. Every practice, every workout, and every conversation is an opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Best coach I ever had:

The best coach I’ve ever had was my head coach at American River College in Sacramento, California, Jerry Halflick.

What made Coach Halflick special wasn’t just his knowledge of the game, it was the way he genuinely cared about his players as people. He was the definition of a player’s coach. He took the time to build real relationships, have meaningful conversations, and understand what each of us was going through beyond football.

He knew how to motivate us not only on the field but in life. He challenged us to be accountable, disciplined, and committed to something bigger than ourselves. More importantly, he taught me that being a great athlete means very little if you’re not striving to be a great person.

The lessons I learned from Coach Halflick have stayed with me throughout my playing career and continue to shape the way I coach today. He showed me that the greatest impact a coach can make isn’t measured by wins and losses, it’s measured by the lives they help change. That’s the standard I strive to live up to every time I step onto the field as a coach.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

atement

Champions aren’t built in a single season they’re developed through purposeful coaching, consistent training, and a commitment to excellence. My mission is to guide every athlete, from their first steps in sport to elite competition and lifelong fitness, by building stronger bodies, sharper minds, and better people.

Every athlete is trained according to their developmental stage, ensuring they master foundational skills before progressing to advanced performance training.

I believe the field is more than a place to build athletes, it’s where character is forged. Every drill, every rep, and every challenge is an opportunity to develop discipline, resilience, confidence, and purpose that carries far beyond the game.

My mission is to help athletes grow mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. I teach them to embrace adversity, stay committed when life gets difficult, and understand that real growth comes through struggle.

Championships are earned through preparation, but success in life is earned through discipline, integrity, and perseverance. That’s the standard I coach every day.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
