Former Semi-Professional Basketball Player with Transformational Coaching Style

I bring a unique combination of real playing experience, proven coaching ability, and a genuine commitment to helping each athlete grow. As a semi-professional player in the WPBA, I understand what it takes to compete at a high level, and I translate that knowledge into practical, game-ready training. With over seven years of coaching experience—from youth camps to high school varsity programs—I’ve worked with athletes at every stage, helping them build strong fundamentals and confidence. What sets me apart is my ability to connect with athletes and tailor each session to their individual needs. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all training. Whether it’s improving ball handling, shooting consistency, or game IQ, I create structured, purposeful workouts that push athletes while keeping them engaged and motivated. Beyond skills, I focus on mindset—teaching discipline, accountability, and resilience. I create an environment where athletes feel supported but challenged, helping them grow both on and off the court. If you’re looking to elevate your game and build confidence, I’m the coach who will help you get there.

About Me:

I’m a dedicated basketball coach and former semi-professional player with a passion for developing athletes both on and off the court. I competed in the WPBA (Women’s Premier Basketball Association) in 2023, which gave me valuable experience playing at a high level and a deeper understanding of what it takes to succeed in competitive environments.

I have over seven years of coaching experience, working with athletes of all ages and skill levels. I started coaching at youth summer camps, then adapted to virtual training during COVID, creating structured and engaging sessions to keep players improving. I’ve also coached at 3 Point Playzone in Chino Hills and with HoopSphere in San Ramon, focusing on skill development and game fundamentals. Most recently, I served as an assistant coach for the girls’ varsity and JV teams at San Francisco University High School.

My coaching style focuses on building confidence, strong fundamentals, and game IQ, while also emphasizing discipline, accountability, and a positive mindset. I’m committed to helping every athlete reach their full potential.

How I can help you improve your game:

I help improve athletes’ games by focusing on both skill development and mindset. I start by identifying each athlete’s strengths and areas for growth, then build customized workouts that target fundamentals like ball handling, shooting, footwork, and defensive positioning. I make sure every drill has purpose and translates directly to game situations so athletes can see real improvement in their performance.

I also emphasize basketball IQ—teaching athletes how to read the game, make better decisions, and understand spacing, timing, and positioning. Beyond the physical side, I work on confidence and mental toughness by creating a supportive but challenging environment where athletes learn how to push through mistakes, stay disciplined, and stay focused under pressure.

My goal is not just to help athletes get better in workouts, but to help them perform with confidence in games. I meet athletes where they are, hold them accountable, and give them the tools they need to continue improving on their own.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

A typical training session with me is structured, high-energy, and tailored to the athlete’s specific goals. We start with a dynamic warm-up and ball-handling series to get loose and build control, focusing on coordination, footwork, and rhythm. From there, we move into skill development—this could include shooting mechanics, finishing at the rim, or advanced ball-handling, depending on the athlete’s needs. Every drill is purposeful and designed to translate directly into game situations.

Next, I incorporate game-speed drills that simulate real defensive pressure, decision-making, and movement you’d see in a game. This helps athletes not only improve their skills but also their confidence and ability to perform under pressure. I also include situational work, like reading defenders, creating space, or executing in game-like scenarios.

We finish with conditioning and a competitive element—whether it’s timed drills, challenges, or live play—to push intensity and reinforce what was learned. Throughout the session, I’m providing feedback, encouragement, and adjustments so athletes leave feeling challenged, confident, and better than when they started.

Career summary and accomplishments:

I have built a diverse career rooted in athletics, education, and leadership, with a strong focus on developing both programs and people. My path began in athletics, gaining extensive experience in coaching, facilities, and athletic administration. I have coached youth basketball for over seven years across camps, virtual training, and club programs such as 3 Point Playzone and HoopSphere, and most recently served as an assistant coach for the girls’ varsity and JV teams at San Francisco University High School. As a former semi-professional player in the WPBA, I bring firsthand competitive experience to my work.

Professionally, I have also held leadership roles including Assistant Athletic Director, Events Manager, and Facilities Manager, where I supervised teams, coordinated operations, and improved program efficiency. My accomplishments include successfully managing large-scale events, mentoring student employees and athletes, and implementing structured systems that enhanced team performance and organization. Supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Business and a Master’s in Sports and Athletic Administration, I bring a well-rounded, leadership-driven approach to every role I take on.

Best coach I ever had:

The best coach I ever had was in high school. She is the one who taught me what transformational coaching truly is. She not only cared about her team on the court but off the court. She made sure we were reaching our team goals by keeping up with our grades, classes, homework assignments, and making sure we went to class. During practices, she would encourage us to be better women and players but also better teammates. Aside from basketball, she would set up team bonding days, give us rides to and from practices, etc. She was all around the perfect coach for my team.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

Parents and athletes should know that I genuinely care about each athlete as a person, not just as a player. My goal is to create a positive, supportive environment where athletes feel comfortable being challenged, making mistakes, and growing. I take the time to understand each athlete’s personality, learning style, and goals so I can coach them in a way that truly resonates.

I also place a strong emphasis on consistency and accountability. I expect athletes to come ready to work, but I match that with energy, preparation, and commitment on my end every session. I’m reliable, organized, and intentional about tracking progress so athletes and parents can clearly see improvement over time.

Communication is another priority for me. I make sure expectations are clear, and I’m always open to feedback or questions from both athletes and parents. Ultimately, I want to be someone families can trust—not just to help improve basketball skills, but to positively influence confidence, work ethic, and mindset that carries beyond the game.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
