Hi! I’m a former collegiate volleyball player, competitive equestrian, and a police officer in training with a passion for helping others grow—both in sport and in life. I played NCAA Division I volleyball at the University of Tennessee and Georgia State University, and started my journey with both indoor and beach volleyball in high school. Competing at a high level taught me the value of discipline, teamwork, and mental toughness.
Alongside my volleyball career, I’ve also competed internationally in equestrian events, driven by a lifelong love for horses and working with animals. These two sports have shaped me into a dedicated and well-rounded athlete, always striving for growth and excellence.
Currently, I’m pursuing a career in law enforcement and training to become a criminal detective. I bring the same focus, resilience, and work ethic from my athletic background into my professional goals. Whether I'm on the court, in the arena, or serving my community, I’m committed to giving my best and helping others do the same.
My main positions to work with are hitters, preferably outside or right side, and passers, as I was a six-rotation player.
Goals for Improving Game Play
1. Build a Solid Foundation
Teach fundamentals: Focus on proper form in passing, setting, hitting, serving, and footwork. Even advanced players benefit from refining basics.
2. Offer Personalized Feedback
Assessing current level: Identify strengths, weaknesses, and habits.
3. Teach Game IQ
Help understand strategy: Positioning, reading the opponent, and making wise decisions under pressure.
4. Focus on Mental Toughness
Encourage confidence and resilience: Teach players how to bounce back from mistakes.
Set goals: Short-term (technique or fitness-related) and long-term (team placement, college recruitment, etc.).
5. Develop Athleticism
Incorporate strength & conditioning: Volleyball is explosive. Plyometrics, agility drills, and core work matter.
Work on mobility and injury prevention: Proper warm-ups, cool-downs, and body mechanics reduce injury risk.
6. Sharing My Experience
7. Make it Fun and Competitive
Keeping energy high: Fun, focused sessions increase motivation.
Whether you're a beginner building your foundation or a player looking to sharpen your technique, each session is designed to challenge you, build confidence, and improve your game.
Warm-Up
We start every session with a dynamic warm-up to get your body ready and reduce injury risk.
This includes:
Light cardio (jog, shuffle, high knees)
Mobility drills
Shoulder activation
Arm swings & band work
Quick footwork ladder or cone drills to engage coordination
Passing Fundamentals
We’ll focus on creating a solid foundation with proper body posture, platform control, and footwork. Depending on your level, this may include:
Target passing drills (with cones or buckets)
Short and deep ball movement
Correction and feedback on platform angle, foot positioning, and reaction time
Hitting Fundamentals
We’ll work on arm swing mechanics, approach timing, and hitting with intention.
Arm swing breakdown (from standing to full approach)
Approach footwork drills (3-step or 4-step)
Transition drills (defense to attack)
Focus on shot selection (cross, line, roll, tip)
Serving Fundamentals
Serving is one of the most important skills in volleyball, and we’ll treat it that way, the game can't start without a serve:
Serving mechanics (toss, contact point, body alignment)
Float serve and jump float technique
Target serving and zone control
Serve routine and mental preparation
Competitive serve challenges to simulate game pressure
Cool-Down & Feedback
Light stretching and recovery movements
Review of what we worked on
Personalized feedback + goals for your next session
My Approach:
With my background playing Division I volleyball and competing internationally in other sports, I bring a disciplined but encouraging coaching style. I believe in developing smart, confident athletes who understand both the “why” and the “how” behind each drill.
Let’s get to work and level up your game — one rep at a time!

Passionate about growing the game, I love helping others improve both their skills and their mindset on the court. I played collegiate volleyball at the University of Tennessee and Georgia State University, competing at a high level and gaining deep knowledge of the sport. My journey began with indoor and beach volleyball in high school, giving me a well-rounded foundation and a love for both versions of the game. Whether you're just starting out or looking to elevate your performance, I'm here to share what I’ve learned and help you reach your potential.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
Our coaches are open to helping athletes of any age and skill level. Please message your desired coach to ensure their skillset fits your needs.
