About Me:

Growing up in a family of basketball coaches, I played at the 6A high school level in Allen, TX. I graduated and earned an academic scholarship to Lamar University, where I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice. My coaching journey has led me to work with AAU programs across Dallas and Houston, where I served as both head coach and lead player development coach for championship-winning teams. Through these roles, I’ve built strong networks with high school and college coaches, staying at the forefront of the game’s evolution. I believe in continuous learning to maximize effectiveness, ensuring that I provide top-tier training and mentorship to my athletes

How I can help you improve your game:

I am an interactive coach with a focus on player mobility and basketball IQ, drawing from my experience as a point guard. My approach centers on teaching athletes how to navigate the court effectively—whether driving to the paint, orchestrating plays, or making smart decisions with the ball. I emphasize not only offensive skills, such as creating shots, dribble drives, and on-and-off ball shooting but also elite-level defense. My training ensures players become well-rounded, excelling on both sides of the court and mastering agility and fundamentals. I am confident in providing a comprehensive guard package that prepares athletes to secure spots on their teams or earn college scholarships

What a typical training session looks like with me:

“I begin each session with the expectation that players are already stretched to maximize our time. We start with 10 minutes of jump rope and speed ladder drills to enhance mobility. This is followed by a 10-15 minute ball-handling circuit, incorporating one or two basketballs depending on the player’s skill level, along with tennis balls and a blocking pad to develop read-and-react skills and ball-handling through contact.

Next, we spend 20 minutes on driving drills, focusing on contact layups, elite finishes, patience, and footwork around the basket. I then evaluate shooting form through form shooting exercises to ensure proper mechanics and establish a strong foundation. We dedicate 30 minutes to midrange shooting, emphasizing positioning, footwork, and form, with a goal of making 50 shots from the inside while tracking progress through made shots and rebounds.

Depending on skill level, players then complete 50 three-point shots on and off the ball. The session concludes with another 10-minute ball-handling circuit, followed by a final round of jump rope and speed ladder drills to reinforce mobility and footspeed. This structured routine ensures comprehensive skill development and consistent progress.”

Career summary and accomplishments:

I am a private skills trainer in the Rosharon area where I train athletes 3rd through 12th grade. I was the head coach at GSA (Gifted Scholar Athletes of America). I was an assistant lead trainer for The AAU Program Next in Line elite.

Best coach I ever had:

The greatest coach in my life is my faith in God. I place Him at the center of everything I do, believing that through faith, prayer, and worship, I can achieve anything I set my mind to. I am deeply grateful to my parents for their unwavering support, but it is through my relationship with the Lord that I find the strength and purpose to share my passion for basketball. I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason when you are living in your purpose. God has guided me to give back by imparting my knowledge and love for the game to aspiring athletes aiming for professional success. Through my own journey of successes and challenges, I am dedicated to helping others achieve their dreams and seeing their goals come to fruition. There is nothing more fulfilling to me than this mission.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

I am an honest and intense coach who always respects both players and parents. My goal is to elevate a player’s confidence and unlock their full potential through hard work, grit, and a strong attitude. I’m here to apply constructive pressure that drives improvement, not frustration. My passion for basketball fuels my commitment to each practice, striving to be better each day. I believe basketball is an art form, and those who excel in it develop a unique identity. While I always prioritize the player’s best interests, I understand that achieving greatness requires dedication and discipline. I guarantee noticeable results in a short time, provided both the athlete and their support system are ready to put in the work.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.

AU was created by former collegiate and professional athletes. We understand the benefits of training with a private coach. It develops discipline, boosts confidence, and provides an undeniable advantage - whether you are just learning the game or looking to earn a college scholarship. All AU coaches are required to pass a thorough onboarding process and we proudly showcase a 10% acceptance rate, so you can trust you're training with the best.

At the end of the day, our mission is to provide athletes with better opportunities to succeed through coaching. You won't find a platform, and group of dedicated specialists, more excited to help you achieve your athletic goals!
