How I can help you improve your game:

Hitting:

●Fundamentals First: Make sure they have a solid stance, grip, and swing path. Focus on proper weight transfer and keeping their head still.

●Visualize and Practice: Have them visualize successful hits and practice their swing in slow motion, focusing on each step.

●Batting Cage Work: Regular batting cage sessions are essential for developing timing and hitting different pitches.

●Video Analysis: Record their swings and analyze them together to identify areas for improvement.

●Mental Game: Help them develop a positive mindset and focus on their strengths. Teach them to stay calm under pressure.

Pitching:

●Mechanics and Control: Work on their throwing motion, arm slot, and grip. Focus on developing control and accuracy.

●Pitch Variety: Teach them different pitches (fastball, curveball, slider, etc.) and how to use them effectively.

●Pitching Strategy: Help them understand how to pitch to different hitters and situations.

●Conditioning: Strength training and conditioning are crucial for pitchers to maintain arm health and stamina.

●Fielding: Footwork and Glove Work: Practice proper footwork and glove techniques for catching ground balls, fly balls, and pop-ups.

●Throwing Accuracy: Work on throwing from different positions with accuracy and speed.

●Positioning: Teach them how to position themselves in the field based on the batter and the situation.

●Communication: Encourage clear communication with teammates during plays.

General Tips:

•Positive Reinforcement: Focus on their strengths and celebrate their successes.

•Individualized Approach: Recognize that each player learns differently and tailor your coaching style accordingly.

•Patience and Persistence: Improvement takes time and effort. Be patient and encourage them to keep working hard.

•Fun and Enjoyment: Make sure they are having fun and enjoying the game.

Remember, The best coaches are those who can inspire and motivate their players while providing them with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

Training session can vary depending on the age, skill level, and goals of the players, but here’s a breakdown of what a well-rounded session might include:

Warm-up (15-20 minutes):

-Dynamic Stretching: Light cardio (jogging, jumping jacks) followed by dynamic stretches like arm circles, leg swings, and torso twists to prepare the body for activity.

-Light Throwing: Start with short throws to loosen up the arm and shoulder.

-Batting Practice (Soft Toss): Gentle swings with soft toss to get the bat moving and focus on swing mechanics.

Skill Development (30-45 minutes):

-Hitting: Batting Cage Work: Hitting off a pitching machine or live pitching to work on timing, swing mechanics, and hitting different pitches.

-Soft Toss: Focus on specific hitting drills like hitting to the opposite field, working on bat control, or hitting for power.

-Dry Swings: Practice swing mechanics without a bat to focus on form and timing.

-Pitching: Bullpen Sessions: Throwing to a catcher to work on mechanics, control, and pitch development.

-Pitching Drills: Focus on specific drills like throwing strikes, working on arm slot, or developing different pitches.

-Fielding: Ground Ball Drills: Practice fielding ground balls from different positions, focusing on footwork, glove work, and throwing accuracy.

-Fly Ball Drills: Practice catching fly balls from different positions, focusing on tracking the ball, glove work, and throwing accuracy.

-Pop-Up Drills: Practice catching pop-ups, focusing on communication and coordination with teammates.

Conditioning (15-20 minutes):

-Strength Training: Exercises like squats, lunges, push-ups, and core work to build strength and power.

-Agility Drills: Exercises like ladder drills, cone drills, and shuttle runs to improve speed, agility, and reaction time.

-Cardio: Running, sprints, or other cardio exercises to improve endurance and stamina.

-Cool-down (10-15 minutes):

Static Stretching: Hold stretches for 30 seconds to improve flexibility and reduce muscle soreness.

-Light Jogging: Slow down the heart rate and help the body recover.

Important Considerations:

-Age and Skill Level: Adjust the intensity and complexity of drills based on the players’ age and skill level.

-Individual Needs: Focus on individual player strengths and weaknesses, providing personalized coaching and drills.

-Fun and Enjoyment: Make sure the training session is engaging and enjoyable for the players.

Remember, a well-structured training session should be balanced, challenging, and fun, helping players develop their skills and reach their full potential.

Career summary and accomplishments:

While my coaching background is not extensive, my playing background along with my knowledge and heart are in this. I made a late turn towards following what I have always wanted to do, which is coach. Baseball Director and Coach for Camp Mah-kee-nac in 2020 Swim Instructor for Planet Swim 2020-2022 Head Coach of the Timuquana Country Club Swim Team 2021-2023

Best coach I ever had:

My mom is my best coach, hands down. It wasn’t just about getting me to practices and games, though she never missed a beat with that. She was out there in the backyard with me, playing catch, helping me practice. But more importantly, she taught me the real lessons of sports: sportsmanship, resilience, and the value of hard work. She never let life’s challenges dim her spirit, and she instilled that same strength in me. She showed me that I could achieve anything I set my mind to if I was willing to put in the effort. That kind of unwavering support and guidance is what makes her the best coach I could ask for.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

That I don't his because its what I love to do. The ability to give back to today's youth, and to give them the skills and knowledge that I was given when I was younger is an amazing feeling. I am not only coaching them for baseball or swimming, but for life also.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.

Our coaches are open to helping athletes of any age and skill level. Please message your desired coach to ensure their skillset fits your needs.

AU was created by former collegiate and professional athletes. We understand the benefits of training with a private coach. It develops discipline, boosts confidence, and provides an undeniable advantage - whether you are just learning the game or looking to earn a college scholarship. All AU coaches are required to pass a thorough onboarding process and we proudly showcase a 10% acceptance rate, so you can trust you're training with the best.

At the end of the day, our mission is to provide athletes with better opportunities to succeed through coaching. You won't find a platform, and group of dedicated specialists, more excited to help you achieve your athletic goals!
