I have a strong foundation in basketball, having played all four years of high school and scoring 1,325 career points. I graduated as salutatorian with a 97.6% GPA. I continued my basketball journey at the collegiate level, playing one year at Alfred State College.
My dedication and work ethic opened doors to try out for several NBA G-League teams, including the Delaware Blue Coats, Westchester Knicks, and Long Island Nets. Through my experiences, I’ve developed leadership, teamwork, and perseverance—qualities I now bring to coaching and training the next generation of athletes.
I help athletes take their game to the next level by focusing on fundamentals, technique, and mental toughness. Every training plan is personalized, built around each player’s strengths and growth areas.
From shooting, ball handling, and defense to basketball IQ, I work with players to sharpen their skills and raise their confidence. Beyond the physical game, I emphasize discipline, focus, and mindset—helping athletes lead on and off the court.
A typical session begins with a dynamic warm-up to get the body moving and reduce the risk of injury. From there, we focus on skill-specific drills tailored to each athlete—whether that’s ball handling, shooting, footwork, or defensive positioning.
I also incorporate situational drills that mirror real in-game scenarios to sharpen decision-making, reaction time, and basketball IQ. We wrap up with conditioning and a proper cool-down to aid recovery.
Throughout the session, I give clear feedback, motivation, and personal attention to help players refine their technique and build real confidence in their game.
I bring a wealth of experience both as a player and a coach. I played four years of high school basketball, scoring 1,325 career points, and graduated as salutatorian with a 97.6 GPA. I continued my journey at the collegiate level, playing one year at Alfred State College. My commitment to the game also earned me tryouts with multiple NBA G-League teams, including the Delaware Blue Coats, Westchester Knicks, and Long Island Nets. I’m the founder of WE LOVE TO HOOP CAMP, a program built to develop athletes through elite training, mentorship, and structure. I’ve coached and trained players through AAU teams, private sessions, and group workouts—sharpening skills and building confidence from the ground up. I’ve also worked major camps like the Bob Hurley Poconos Invitational, where I contributed to high-level player development and operations. Beyond the court, I’ve served as a Site Supervisor at the YMCA, managing youth programs and leading with discipline and care. With a background in directing basketball operations, I focus on growth through fundamentals, teamwork, and mindset. Currently pursuing my degree in Sports Management, I continue to invest in the game and give back by helping athletes reach their full potential—on and off the court.
The best coach I ever had was Coach Fonfa—and honestly, life itself.
Coach Fonfa taught me more than just the game. He drilled into me the values of discipline, accountability, and mental toughness. He held me to a high standard every day and never let me settle for “just good enough.” Whether it was practice, class, or life decisions, he expected the best from me. That pressure helped mold me into someone who could handle adversity and still perform.
But life has been an even tougher coach. Life put me through situations that forced me to grow when I didn’t feel ready. It taught me how to lead when I was still figuring things out myself. It showed me how to keep pushing, even when I felt overlooked or underestimated. The lessons I’ve learned from pain, failure, setbacks, and hard-earned wins have shaped me into the man and coach I am today.
Between Fonfa and life—I learned how to be disciplined, gritty, and purpose-driven. Those are lessons I now pass on to the players I train.
I care about more than just basketball. I care about your kid’s growth—on the court, in school, in life. When your child trains with me, they’re not just getting a workout… they’re getting someone who’s been through it, fought for opportunities, and knows what it takes to succeed when the odds are stacked.
I’m going to push them, hold them accountable, and speak truth to them—but I’ll also support them, encourage them, and treat them like family. I train with a purpose: to build discipline, confidence, and consistency. Every rep has intention. Every session has meaning.
Your child will be trained by someone who’s walked the path, made sacrifices, and earned their respect in this game—not just by talent, but by work ethic. I don’t sugarcoat. I don’t waste time. But I do care, and I do everything with heart.
If you’re looking for someone who will show up, invest in your child’s development, and bring out the best in them—I’m that coach.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
