Beyond the court, I have an extensive background working with youth, currently serving as a Youth Ministry Director where I have inspired and mentored many young individuals in their personal and spiritual growth. As Vice President of Global Operations for Anchor and Vine, I have further demonstrated leadership and organizational expertise, managing large-scale projects and fostering meaningful connections through the missions work in various different parts of the world. My ability to lead, mentor, and motivate makes me not only an exceptional coach but also a dedicated advocate for developing strong, resilient young leaders both in sports and in life.
Using my knowledge and experience as a mentor and coach I plan to help improve each individuals game by combining technical training, personal development, and motivation through various techniques I have learned over the years. I plan to use my experience to evaluate each individuals current skills and identify strengths and areas for improvement. I find it important to tailor my coaching to each individual's unique needs whether it's refining their shooting form, improving footwork, or boosting game IQ. It is also important to not only teach how to do something but why it matters. I would help break down techniques step-by-step like proper defensive stances or efficient dribbling while explaining their impact in a game context.
As a coach I would also emphasize the importance of consistency and hard work. I would share personal stories or lessons from my own journey to inspire commitment and resilience in their training. I would help each individual to understand the flow of the game by teaching strategies, reading defenses, and anticipating plays. I would use my coaching experience to help simulate game scenarios and teach decision-making under pressure. I would also help to encourage and uplift each person I coach, celebrating small wins, providing constructive feedback, and reinforcing their belief in their ability to grow and succeed.
Another important way to improve someone's game is to teach the value of communication, selflessness, and being a positive influence on and off the court helping teach them about teamwork. It is also important to guide them in setting short-term and long-term goals for their game. I would regularly check their progress and adjust plans to keep them motivated and focused.
By combining my technical knowledge, real-world experience, and mentoring approach, I would create a transformative training experience that helps each individual grow as both a player and a person.
Each basketball training session is tailored to the individual’s unique skills, strengths, and areas for growth. By starting with an assessment of their current abilities, I design drills and exercises that align with their specific needs—whether it’s improving shooting accuracy, refining ball-handling, or enhancing defensive techniques. Each week, we build on the progress made in previous sessions, gradually introducing new challenges to push their limits and reinforce their confidence. This personalized, step-by-step approach ensures consistent improvement while fostering a deeper understanding of the game.
I feel I have a well-rounded basketball coaching background, built on years of experience across various levels of the game. Four years, I have coached youth teams ranging from 1st to 6th grade, creating a foundation of skill development and teamwork for young athletes. As a YMCA referee, I gained valuable insight into game management for both high school and adult games. Additionally, I have mentored middle and high school students, focusing on refining their basketball skills and confidence. During college, I demonstrated leadership and coaching ability by serving as captain and coach for intramural basketball teams at Indiana Wesleyan University and Purdue University for all four years while playing as well. This diverse experience equips me with the skills and passion to guide players of all ages toward their full potential.
The best coach I have ever had was my high school coach who not only taught me more about the game but also inspired and motivated me beyond the court. He pushed me to improve my skills, challenged me to think strategically, and instilled discipline and confidence in myself. This coach cared about my personal growth as much as my performance, creating an environment where I felt supported and driven to succeed. He left a lasting impact by believing in me and teaching lessons that shaped both my basketball journey and my character.
I am a hardworking and confident coach dedicated to helping young athletes reach their full potential on and off the court. With a deep passion for the game and years of experience as both a player and coach, I understand the importance of combining skill development, mental toughness, and personal growth. I am known for my energetic and motivational coaching style, creating a positive, goal-driven environment that inspires players to push past their limits. I pride myself on tailoring training to each athlete’s unique strengths and challenges, building confidence, discipline, and a love for the game that lasts a lifetime.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section.
