How can you help someone improve their game?
I focus on the fundametals of proper footwork, conditioning, speed, agility, dodging, shooting, game/field sense for attack/midfielders. Team play, sportsmanship and respect for the great game of lacrosse are essential.
What does a typical training session look like?
I start with an evaluation of the player. Then develop a plan to help the athlete improve in their weaker and stronger areas and develop confidence and resilency. We start with a light general work , dynamic stretching, agility, speed ,footwork, fundamental stick work and shooting. I ask a parent to film some of the workout and i review with the player. I also suggest the player watch certain videos to gain knowledge. Most of all I make the session fun.
