Turning “I can’t” into “watch me” through behavior, sports, and connection.

Give me a challenge, a goal, and someone ready to grow, and that’s where I do my best work. Whether I’m on a soccer field, in an ABA session, or deep into research, I bring the same energy and purpose. I’m a dad, coach, behavior professional, and doctoral researcher who believes growth should be challenging, meaningful, and fun. What drives me is helping people discover what they’re capable of, then giving them the confidence and tools to go further than they thought they could.

About me

I help youth and middle school athletes improve their sport skills, focus, and confidence so they can compete with greater independence and trust their abilities in games.

I’m a dad, coach, behavior professional, and doctoral researcher who loves helping people get better. Put me on a field with an athlete who is ready to work, and I’m in my element. I bring together sports and behavior science to figure out what makes an athlete click, what is holding them back, and how we can turn that into progress.

I coach with energy, humor, high expectations, and a lot of encouragement. We are going to work hard, but we are going to have fun doing it. My favorite moment is when an athlete goes from “I can’t do that” to “Coach, watch this.”

I also coach softball, basketball, and cross country.

First, I want to know your game. What are you already good at? Where do you struggle? What makes you confident? What makes you hesitate?

Then we get to work.

My background in behavior science helps me break skills down, identify exactly where improvement needs to happen, and build them back up through purposeful repetition, modeling, feedback, and reinforcement. We can work on technique, decision making, confidence, focus, consistency, and responding when things do not go perfectly.

I’m not trying to create a great practice player. I want the athlete who shows up in training to show up when the game is on the line.

Bring your energy, because I’m bringing mine.

We start with a goal, get moving, and then get into the work. I like purposeful repetitions, competitive challenges, demonstrations, immediate feedback, and game like situations that force you to think and react.

I will coach you, encourage you, challenge you, and probably joke with you along the way. I also want you asking questions and learning to recognize what you did well and what needs to change.

By the end of the session, I want us both to be able to answer one question: How did you get better today?

My career lives at the intersection of sports, human performance, and behavior science.

I hold a graduate degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Human Performance and a graduate degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Behavior Analysis. That combination has shaped the way I approach coaching because I am interested in both how athletes perform and how they learn.

My professional experience includes youth sports coaching, applied behavior analysis, leadership, and direct work with children and families. I am also trained in Sports Behavior Coaching and am continuing my professional development toward becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

I am currently completing doctoral research that brings my professional and coaching interests together by examining behavioral interventions within athletic performance. My research explores how strategies such as modeling, feedback, and Behavioral Skills Training can be applied to sport skill development.

I have taken a different road to coaching than most, and that is something I embrace. I study performance. I study behavior. Then I bring the two together on the field.

The best coach I ever had made me want to work harder without making me afraid to make mistakes.

That has always stayed with me.

The coaches I respect most know when to push, when to teach, when to listen, and when to remind an athlete that one bad play does not define them. They hold you accountable because they see something in you worth developing.

That is the kind of coach I work to be. I want athletes to remember that Coach believed in them, challenged them, made them laugh, and never let them settle for less than what they were capable of giving.

Your athlete is a person before they are a player.

Yes, I want to compete. Yes, I want to win. And yes, I am going to challenge athletes. But development will always be bigger than a scoreboard.

I want athletes to become more confident, coachable, resilient, accountable, and comfortable working through mistakes. I want them to understand that struggling with a skill does not mean they cannot learn it.

Being a dad shapes the way I coach too. I understand what it means to trust another adult with your child, and I do not take that responsibility lightly. Parents can expect communication, honesty, energy, and a coach who genuinely cares about their athlete.

Athletes will learn something about me pretty quickly: if you tell me “I can’t,” you better be ready for me to help you turn it into “watch me.”

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

  • Good Fit Guarantee — If your first lesson isn't the right fit, we'll move your lesson credit to a new coach. No hassle.

  • Easy rescheduling — Cancel or reschedule up to 4 hours before a lesson, no questions asked.

  • Coach no-shows — You'll be fully credited and we'll help you find a replacement.

  • Flexible credits — Unused lessons last 12 months and can be used with any coach on the platform.
