I played softball for 17 years, starting at age 4 and continuing through college. Recruited as a senior in high school, I earned a full scholarship to play across the country. I pitched for 14 years, serving as the primary pitcher throughout my college career. My achievements include receiving the High School Gold Glove Award as a sophomore, being named Continental Athletic Conference Player of the Week, NAIA Softball Player of the Week, and Washington Adventist University Softball Most Valuable Player for my performance and leadership on the field.
I can help athletes improve their game by providing personalized coaching tailored to their individual needs, regardless of their current skill level. I focus on refining technical skills, such as pitching mechanics, while also offering detailed feedback and visual aids to help players understand and correct their movements. Beyond the physical aspect, I emphasize the importance of softball IQ and mental performance, teaching players strategies to enhance their decision-making and mindset. With my experience coaching at elite levels and my dedication to each player's growth, I ensure athletes not only improve their on-field performance but also develop the mental tools needed for success.
A typical training session with me starts with an extended warm-up and muscle activation to ensure the body is properly prepared for the session. Next, we focus on snaps and spin drills to work on the mechanics and control of the pitch. We then move on to windup and power drills to enhance pitching strength and efficiency. After that, we do full-out pitching, where we go through each pitch with detailed feedback to refine technique and improve performance. We finish the session with a strength drill to build endurance and further support the pitching motion. Each session is structured to develop both the physical and mental aspects of pitching for optimal results.
With years of coaching experience, I’ve had the privilege of training under Olympic champion Natasha Watley, serving as Head Coach for the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation and Pitching Coach for the Washington Nationals Youth Academy—both major league academies. Additionally, I’ve spent four years as a private pitching coach and served as an assistant coach at Spencerville Adventist Academy and St. John’s College High School. My coaching philosophy is centered on personalized development, technical skills, softball IQ, and mental performance, helping athletes unlock their full potential both on and off the field.
My favorite coach was my collegiate coach. He motivated me and constantly believed in me when I needed it the most. He cared about me as a person, not just as an athlete, and always made sure I knew my value beyond the game. His guidance didn’t just focus on improving my skills, but also on preparing me for the professional world beyond softball, and that’s something I’ll always carry with me.
Athletes and parents should know that I have been coaching for 9 years and have worked with athletes of various skill levels and ages. My coaching approach focuses not only on refining individual skills but also on teaching the mental aspects of the game, which I consider a top priority. I believe in creating an environment where athletes can be themselves without judgment or comparison, encouraging them to celebrate their uniqueness. My goal is to help athletes grow both on and off the field, fostering confidence and mental toughness while developing their technical abilities.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.
Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
