Because I bring experience and a deep understanding of athlete psychology

I consider myself a very lucky woman who had the great opportunity to learn from some of the best coaches and players in Europe. Therefore, not only the players who train with me get comfortable and confident in basketball, but we will also touch on the mental aspects of the game, something that I was never taught and I had to develop at an early age. I want my players to develop a healthy mentality that supports them to accomplish everything they set their mind to.

About Me:

Played for the Spain National Team winning Bronze at The Youth Olympic Games in China, 4x Euopean Champion, and one Bronze. Twice MVP of Catalonia (Spain), Spain Champion, played College Basketball Division I at Fairfield University and Academy of Art University (Division II.) MVP of Venice Basketball League 2022 (co-ed league with professional men athletes) and currently playing for commercials, and movies and partnering with the Hoopbus.

How I can help you improve your game:

First of all, by creating an atmosphere where the players feel safe to try new things, unafraid to make mistakes, and where besides getting better, they will always be having fun.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

1) In every practice, I include one of the following: agility drills, footwork, explosiveness drills (jumping and sprinting), balance (ankle and knee mobility), core exercises, and strength.

2) Dribbling: It is imperative that the athletes feel comfortable with a basketball. Therefore, a variety of drills will be done to improve the quickness and width of the dribble and make efficient choices using less amount of space and dribbles to finish. Moreover, I like to teach the athletes different scenarios to be able to make decisions in a short amount of time reading the defense.

3) Finishing: I am a big fan of Miken drills. The athletes feel so comfortable afterward finishing with either hand. We would work on lay-ups, pier lay-ups, reverse lay-ups, post moves, floaters, and more.

4) Passing. In my opinion, teams do not emphasize this area and it is incredibly important to ensure a good ball movement. For this reason, I like to strengthen one hand passing and to be able to decide what kind of pass is better for each situation.

5)Defense: Feet quickness is the key to be able to stand in front of the offensive player. Defense is the most humble part of basketball and it is important to teach that this area does not require any special skill more than wanting and willing to give your best for oneself and the team. Boxing out is also a big factor in which I like to work to be a good rebounder.

6) Technical area: I can not stress enough how important is to read the game, to be able to understand where is the advantage, how to move without the basketball, how to set screens, and where are the openings.

7) Shooting: The athletes must get used to shooting in the right technique. Once they learn to shoot well, we could focus on increasing their effectiveness.

Career summary and accomplishments:

Started as an assistant Coach for a summer in Milwaukee for young athletes from 12-18 years old. Then started coaching at Royal Basketball School right before the pandemic hit. Then transitioned into private training during quarantine until the present moment. I am currently also working with The Hoopbus in which we do clinics at schools during PE hours teaching the basics of basketball.

Best coach I ever had:

Throughout my career, I had incredible coaches. When I was playing at Femeni Sant Adria, Dani Jose was my coach for 6 years making me bring the ball up the court even tho I was the tallest in the team (6ft1). Jordi Vizcaino taught me how to be an intelligent player making me play with players 2-3+ years older than me when I was only 16. Then Jose Ignacio Hernandez, the Head Coach of The Spain national Team gave me so much confidence to carry the Spain national Team on my shoulders. I am currently training with COach Ve, who is teaching me how to become a good, fast, athletic, and unstoppable 6ft 1 shooting guard.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

Nobody ever taught me how to have a supportive mentality with the sport. I adopted the strict and destructive voice of many of my coaches to the point that I ended up burning out in college. Because not only I didn't have the support of my coaches, but my mentality was destructive as well. Basketball is a sport, a beautiful sport, but it is a game. And athletes should always be enjoying the sport they chose to play. Thats why besides working on basketball fundamentals, I will also address their thought process, their mentality to make sure they have a good mindset that will support them in every area of their life forever.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.

Our coaches are open to helping athletes of any age and skill level. Please message your desired coach to ensure their skillset fits your needs.

AU was created by former collegiate and professional athletes. We understand the benefits of training with a private coach. It develops discipline, boosts confidence, and provides an undeniable advantage - whether you are just learning the game or looking to earn a college scholarship. All AU coaches are required to pass a thorough onboarding process and we proudly showcase a 10% acceptance rate, so you can trust you're training with the best.

At the end of the day, our mission is to provide athletes with better opportunities to succeed through coaching. You won't find a platform, and group of dedicated specialists, more excited to help you achieve your athletic goals!
