Track Coach & PE Educator | Speed, Endurance & Whole-Athlete Development
With 10 years of experience developing young athletes, including six years coaching competitive track & field, I combine technical expertise with a whole-athlete approach to help each athlete become faster, stronger, more confident, and more resilient. I coach sprinting, speed & agility, starts and blocks, relays, distance and endurance, race strategy, and introductory jumping—while tailoring every session to the athlete in front of me. Whether I’m helping a beginner discover their potential or an experienced competitor chase a new PR, I combine purposeful training with goal-setting, mental performance, confidence-building, and an unwavering commitment to safety. My athletes have included nearly 100 All-City Finals qualifiers and multiple gold and silver medalists, but my greatest measure of success is helping young athletes recognize what they’re capable of and giving them the tools and confidence to pursue it.
I help athletes develop the skills, technique, strength, and confidence they need to perform at their best. My areas of expertise include sprinting, acceleration, running mechanics, speed and agility, explosiveness, strength and conditioning, starting blocks and race starts, relays and baton exchanges, distance and endurance running, pacing and race strategy, and introductory long jump and high jump. I also help athletes with meet preparation, goal-setting, injury prevention, recovery, nutrition, and managing pre-competition nerves. Every athlete is different, so I tailor training to their age, experience, goals, and individual needs while helping them build confidence, resilience, body awareness, and a strong competitive mindset.
Every session is tailored to the athlete’s goals, experience, and how they’re feeling that day. We’ll typically begin with a dynamic warm-up and mobility work, followed by running mechanics and technique drills before moving into the main focus of the session—whether that’s speed, acceleration, agility, endurance, strength, jumping, or event-specific skills. I incorporate purposeful drills, individualized feedback, and plenty of encouragement throughout. We’ll finish with a cool-down and a quick check-in on progress and goals. My sessions are positive, energetic, challenging, and fun, with an emphasis on helping athletes understand why we’re doing what we’re doing so they can become more confident and knowledgeable athletes.
For over 10 years, I’ve dedicated my career to developing young athletes as a Physical Education teacher, track & field coach, and Athletic Director. I coached track & field for six years, working with athletes across sprinting, distance and endurance, relays, speed and agility, starting blocks, race strategy, and introductory jumping events. During my coaching career, I helped nearly 100 student-athletes qualify for All-City Finals, coached our school’s first-ever track & field gold medalist, and helped several additional athletes earn gold and silver medals within their divisions. Beyond competitive results, some of my proudest accomplishments have been helping beginners discover a love for the sport, developing already-talented athletes into stronger competitors, and watching young people build confidence, resilience, character, and belief in themselves through athletics. My professional background also includes a California Single Subject Physical Education Teaching Credential, 200-hour yoga teacher certification, and Les Mills fitness certification, all of which contribute to my whole-athlete approach to coaching.
The best coach I ever had was my cross-country coach, who taught me that great coaching is about far more than physical performance. He saw potential in me before I fully recognized it in myself and helped me understand how much of athletic performance begins with mindset. He challenged me through rigorous training that built discipline, resilience, and mental toughness, while remaining supportive and encouraging throughout the process. He also created a strong sense of team through intentional team-building and taught us to work toward something bigger than ourselves. At the same time, athlete safety, injury prevention, and proper care were always priorities. He showed me that a great coach can push an athlete beyond what they think they’re capable of while still making them feel supported, valued, and safe. That balance has deeply influenced the coach I strive to be for my own athletes today.
I care deeply about the athletes I coach—not only about how they perform, but about the young people they are becoming. My goal is to create an environment where athletes feel safe, supported, challenged, and genuinely believed in. I hold high expectations while meeting each athlete where they are, whether they’re stepping onto a track for the first time or already competing at a high level.
With 10 years of experience working with young people, I understand that every athlete brings a different personality, learning style, confidence level, and set of strengths and challenges. I take the time to get to know the individual athlete and adapt my coaching accordingly. Safety and injury prevention are always my first priorities, and I believe progress should be challenging but developmentally appropriate and sustainable.
Parents can expect clear communication, intentional training, and a coach who takes their child’s physical and emotional well-being seriously. Athletes can expect me to encourage them, challenge them, celebrate their progress, and help them work through setbacks without losing confidence. Ultimately, I want athletes to leave our time together not only faster, stronger, and more skilled, but more confident, resilient, disciplined, and aware of what they are capable of.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
