About Me:

Hi, I’m Giovanni. With nine years of playing experience and five years coaching at both the youth and high school levels, I specialize in developing wide receivers and defensive backs. My approach combines technical precision, explosive athletic development, and a real focus on building mental toughness and confidence. I’ve had the privilege of being part of seven AYF championship teams, and I bring that same championship mindset into every session.

As a former Military Police Sergeant and NASM Certified Personal Trainer, I understand discipline, leadership, and how to push athletes to reach their full potential without losing the joy of the game. I believe great coaching isn’t just about X’s and O’s — it’s about helping young athletes become more skilled, more confident, and more resilient, both on the field and off it.

I help athletes improve their game by focusing on the details that actually make a difference on the field. Whether you’re a wide receiver or defensive back, we work on building a strong technical foundation — things like precise route running, explosive releases, reliable hands, creating separation, and finishing plays. At the same time, we develop the athletic traits that separate good players from great ones: speed, quickness, change of direction, and overall explosiveness.

Just as important, I place a strong emphasis on mentality and confidence. My goal is to help athletes not only get better physically, but also trust their preparation, stay composed under pressure, and play with the confidence that comes from knowing they’ve put in the work. Training is always personalized — I identify each player’s specific strengths and areas for growth, then build a plan that develops complete, well-rounded athletes who see measurable improvement in their performance.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

A typical session with me is structured, focused, and tailored to each athlete’s individual needs and goals. We always begin with a dynamic warm-up designed to activate the right muscles, improve mobility, and get athletes mentally locked in.

From there, we move into position-specific technique work. For wide receivers, this includes releases, route stems, stem adjustments, catching mechanics, and creating separation. For defensive backs, we focus on footwork, hip fluidity, ball skills, and reading routes. Every drill is done with purpose and high attention to detail so athletes build proper habits.

We spend the majority of the session on high-quality, high-rep work that develops explosiveness, precision, and consistency. I also incorporate mental reps, film breakdowns, and situational awareness so athletes understand not just how to do something, but why it matters in a game.

Toward the end of the session, we finish with competitive drills or conditioning that challenge both the body and the mind. Throughout everything, I emphasize effort, communication, and building confidence through repetition and success. My goal is simple: every athlete leaves the session feeling like they got better — technically, physically, and mentally.

Career summary and accomplishments:

As a player, I earned All-State and All-Conference honors as both a junior and senior in high school. I went on to play competitively for nine years, gaining a deep understanding of the game that now shapes how I coach.

Over the past five years, I’ve worked as an Assistant Coach at both the youth and high school levels, specializing in wide receivers and defensive backs. I’ve had the privilege of being part of seven AYF championship teams, helping athletes develop the technique, explosiveness, and mental toughness needed to compete at a high level.

In addition to my football experience, I served as a Military Police Sergeant (E-5) in the Army National Guard, where I developed strong leadership and discipline. I’m also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and hold an Associate’s degree in Exercise Science, with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management currently in progress.

I’ve played the game for nine years and coached for five, earning All-State and All-Conference honors in high school and being part of seven AYF championship teams. I specialize in wide receivers and defensive backs, but more importantly, I focus on developing the complete athlete. My training emphasizes technical skill, explosive athleticism, and — just as importantly — building mental toughness and confidence. If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
