35 year's old former competitive strongman, Army Sergeant First Class, and Master's degree in Sports Medicine. I've worked with the prestigious Westside Barbell to understand conjugate methods based on identifying weak points so we never waste time going through the motions. I have high expectations for my athletes to create an environment that's friendly but competitive, as well as accountable. I have a keen eye for knowing what an athlete needs, including motivation. While I expect hard work, I understand that everyone is unique in their emotional states which deserves to be talked about more. To me, a coach isn't someone who barks orders and expects athletes to blindly follow. I understand there's more than programming sets and reps and I'm ready to work with individuals who are ready to control the field with a quiet confidence.
Our program is based on identifying where the athlete needs improvement. So, we start with a warm up, go into an explosive movement, then heavy movement OR a dynamic movement, depending on the day, and followed up with accessories that bring up the whole big picture. I never like wasting anyone's time doing things that aren't going to improve performance, meaning, accessories can range from basic hypertrophy work to conditioning. It all depends on what needs to be addressed.
National ranked strongman, 3 tours of duty with the Army, a Bachelor's degree in kinesiology with a minor in nutritional science and a Master's of Science in Athletic Training, having worked with D1 track and field, throwers, soccer, basketball, baseball, and US Air Force Prep Academy with Football and basketball, amongst other sites like Milwaukee Fire Department (all 34 houses), and Special Forces.
This a trick question, because the best coach is going to be yourself. You can lie to someone else, but you can't lie to yourself. You know if you really put all your efforts in for the day regardless of how you feel. If you only have 30% to give for the day, then that is 100% of your effort.
I love helping, I love coaching, but it might feel like I can get really strict. I see the potential in people and all I'd like to do is ensure the athlete gets 100% of my efforts, otherwise I feel like I'm stealing their money and wasting their time. I've worked for gyms that charge outrageous prices for a pat on the back despite their members getting injured and my morals don't allow that.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.
Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
