Why Train With Me?

I understand the big picture & I know how to break it down.5 Reasons to Train with Me Reason 1) Experienced Sports Player - I am a multi-sport athlete (pickleball, soccer, basketball, tennis, football, baseball, volleyball, bowling, skating, snowboarding corn hole, mini-golf, and more) I was a 3-sport varsity high school player. I have played in dozens of sports leagues, tournaments, and finals from childhood to adulthood. I started playing pickleball in 2014, play 6 days a week, and tournament finalist. I have played sports with college level and pro players. I think and live sports. Reason 2) Seasoned Coach - I have a heart of coach to help players get better and be the best they can be. I have been coaching for sports for over 30 year with an energetic and positive attitude. I have coached players for all ages (kids, teens college, adults, and seniors) in private settings, recreational, clinics, classes, public school, club level, and private school. I have coached over 350 pickleball players of various ages and levels. As a coach, I am committed to get better all of the time. I talk with other coaches to learn and watch hours of youtube videos. Reason 3) Fundamentally Grounded - I committed to training and coaching in the fundamentals of pickleball: solid serves, reliable ground strokes, varied volleys, and consistent drop-shots / resets. The goal is to be a well-rounded player that takes advantages of strengths and minimizes weaknesses. I also care about high level character and sportsmanship; so I address poor attitudes directly and highlight positives with praise. Reason 4) Video Evaluated - I utilize videos recordings of prayers to help them see what they are doing well and not so well. Then, I show them how to correct, level up and maximize their game. I record games and then breakdown video with the aim to improve. Reason 5) Personalized Development - I custom plan drills and exercises personally to meet you where you are at and then make steps on how to get to the next level as a player and person.

Essentially, I seek to get input from the player to assess where they are presently at in terms of the rules, fundamentals, and skills. I deploy are multifaceted play to improve using hands-on skill training that mimics game situations, YouTube videos, drilling on all skills, feedback/encouragement, and video breakdown.
What does a typical training session look like?
A typical session begins by perennially connection with players relationally. Then, we start with dynamic stretches to warm up and prepare the body for a workout. I usually focus on 2 key areas (like drop shots and resets or serves and returns, etc.) Lastly, I will tie things together in a game within the game. About once are a month, I will review a video of the player. Lastly, I wrap up with some static stretches to care for the physical body.
