Why Train With Me?

Our goal is to help players better understand the game, their game, and how to mesh the two. We will be working on better ways to approach the game mentally and physically / on the court. Sessions will include a warmup (stretching, layups, light shooting, etc.) before personalized training / drills. We will also be providing “take home work” for players that would like to continue to improve outside of trainings / practice. Training can be tough but also fun and that is the goal.

Athletic Background

Summary of Career and Accomplishments
I played basketball collegiately for the University of Tampa (D2) from 2010-2014. In high school I played varsity basketball for Bayshore Christian, I averaged 26 as a junior and 24 as a senior.
Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
The best coach I’ve had is Donald Pippen. He allowed me to make mistakes while simultaneously challenging me to get / be better.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
I love the game of basketball. I want to pass on what I know to players that also love the game of basketball. I think that the game is evolving and that the distractions are at an all time high, but with the right guidance players can make the most out of their time playing basketball.

Coaching Background

Summary of Coaching Background
I coached Robinson High School Women’s Varsity Basketball for the 2016-2017 season. That season we went 22-3. I am currently an assistance coach for Blake High School Men’s Varsity Basketball.
How can you help someone improve their game?
The goal is to help players understand their spots on the court and how to get to said spots. The game of basketball can seem over complicated at times but it’s honestly fairly simple. If players can better understand their strengths and how to master those while improving their weaknesses their overall game will improve with time and dedication.
What does a typical training session look like?
Each session will begin with 10-15 minutes of warming up. All players will work on ball handling. Being able to handle the ball is essential for any position / play style. We will then work on recognizing spots for the player to score at and how to get to those spots in game.
